Who's participating in the "Pre-XPO" track day?

I will be arriving on Wednesday the 6th and will be looking for something to do on Thursday before the early bird registration begins at 5pm. I understand there are some members who will be at Watkins Glen for a track day. Anyone with details please advise. TIA...

Meet NSXprime Members at NSXPO 2004!

I'll be attending as well and would like to have a prime tag to help meet other forum members. Thanks! Scott McKay PS I like the look of that "slow wing". I prefer to call it an "air brake". It looks like the Burn-up wing. If so, your car is a black clone...

Fly to NSXPO really cheap! Sale today only!

Senna, My wife and I are REALLY looking forward to spending a week without the remotest possiblity of a hurricane ruining our schedules. This weekend is now cut short due to Hurricane Jeanne. I can't complain too much though. We are on the Gulf coast and should only see heavy rain...

Seeking right seat time at Watkins Glen

Bad News/Good News: Bad News- Rebuild won't be completed in time to bring car to NSXPO. Good News- My wife and I just decided to still come to NSXPO. Airfare was $238 round trip total for both of us. Result- Track junkie/Speed freak with no car will be spending two days at one of the...

If you will be at the track, but not driving...

I'll be at the track but, unfortunately, I won't be driving. However, this does mean that I'll be available to evaluate the melodious harmonies created by those aluminum clad fossil fuel burners. Let me know what kind of scoring system you'd like to use. Perhaps a category for best quality...

Fly to NSXPO really cheap! Sale today only!

Thank you very much for posting the promo info. As it turns out, I had recently requested a cancellation of my NSXPO registration because my car won't be ready in time. After seeing the airfares I figured, "What the hell!" So, for a couple hundred bucks my wife and I are flying up to Corning...

    NEW NSX Wide Body Kit

IMO, the side surfaces look too flat and don't mesh well with the rest of the car. Perhaps the look will be blended better before it's all said and done. I also wonder how much weight that's going to add to the car. I do give them props for coloring outside the lines.

    CTSC old vs new

Congrats on your new acquistion. The older Comptech blowers do tend to rattle at idle and low rpms. I've always been a little put off by that characteristic. Having said that, keep in mind they don't all do that. Some are nice and quiet which is a little perplexing. As for reliability they...

6spd clutch or just pressure plate

Len, I have a perfectly good Comptech powergrip II clutch unit that is coming out of my car this week. I am switching to the Clutchmasters Stage IV clutch at the advice of Gerry Johnson who is building a single turbo kit for my car. The CT clutch is great IMO but is not for everyone...

    Which body kit?

Icefire, Vinny's shop is located in Merritt Island, FL which had some damage from one of the THREE hurricanes we've enjoyed during the past six weeks. Phone lines were down awhile back but may be up and running again. The number at the shop is (321) 453-6969. Tell him Scott from...

    Which body kit?

FYI, my personal experience with the WW parts has been mixed. I own two of the front chin spoilers and have been very pleased with the fitment of them both. (I have a spare painted and ready to put on at all times) The side skirts were a different story. The fitment of the WW side skirts...

Red X spotted on Racetrack Rd. & Tampa Road

That sounds like my friend Mario. He has a red '92 with a dent on the driver's side rear quarter. Hell of a nice guy, say "Hi" to him next time you see him.

NOPI Announces Road Corse and Oval Track Series for 2005

Do you have any plans to do an event in Florida? I would think a track like Moroso would be an ideal venue for your event...roadcourse and drag strip in South Florida...should be well attended IMO. I'd look to run my NSX on the road course as well as the drags. Twice the flavor, twice the fun!

    Tarox brakes?

A good friend of mine put a set on his '94 and they looked incredible. A BIG step up from stock as well as a step up from the Brembo "Lotus" caliper BBK. He was very happy with the brakes. Alas, they went to Hawaii with his car when he sold it. Dali Racing is the vendor he used to purchase them.

    New iForged's

Nice looking wheels. I run HRE 547's on my car and have found that a blast of air from my air compressor to each wheel after rinsing greatly reduces the time spent drying each wheel as well as the prevalence of water spots. Besides, my wife accuses me of constantly looking for ways to use my...

Overheating at the track? Possibly bad head gaskets

I experienced the same frustrating symptoms with my car awhile back. On the street and even under aggressive street driving conditions the car ran fine. As soon as you put her on the track, two laps you'd be in the red. No messy symptoms etc. I even did the aftermarket radiator upgrade...

What kind of Ferrari is that?

Tell him to put the Tubi exhaust on along with their cat bypass pipes. A good friend of mine has that on his F355-F1 and I guarantee you that car would NEVER be mistaken for anything other than an F car. What a screaming howl! As a footnote he's selling the car in order to make room for the...

    Cybernation Shows Turbo NSX

As the saying goes, any FI system is only as good as it's tuner. I have serious doubts about the fuel/engine management for this system. There's certainly a reason you haven't heard much from Cybernation in the NSX community. It relates to the very poor results experienced by a well-known...

    Cybernation Shows Turbo NSX

Based on my direct personal observations of the work done at/by Cybernation I would look for another vendor. BBeckert can embelish as it was his car that suffered while under their care.

Good luck in Charley & Bonnie guys!

Wei-Shen, I'm glad to hear that you stayed safe through the storm. I spoke to Mark Hicks on Saturday and he mentioned that you had emailed him with an "okay" late Friday night. Heather and I expected the worst at our home in St. Petersburg. I spent 14 hours prepping the house...
