Who is insured for Agreed Value? <- a must read for Canadians!!!!

Surprisingly..when my Prelude was stolen 3 years ago I was able to use Receipts of $3,000 in OEM Honda Parts and Labour/Machining etc (i left out the performance parts like pistons/cams etc..) towards the claim payout. I ended up getting $16000 after 3 years, and I paid 16,500+tax in the first...

    Regular gas?

It has a knock sensor, and the ecu has programming to retard ignition timing and add fuel if it sense knock. Also the MR2 is turbo...not a lot of flexibility in octane there...even if they programmed fuel and ignition to respond to a knock sensor you would likely get compression/heat...

    Hipocritical with-in our own comunity

You'll find people like that everywhere, owning all different types of cars. Pretension cetainly isn't car specific; I'd just brush it off and suddenly develop a very smug look on my face, cause you can own the same car as him and don't have to wear it like a resume.

Is the XGA the bridge between the NSX, S2000 and HSC?

yeah...think so. XGA speculation is somewhat true but the end of the S2000 probably isn't

Agreed, I'm no scientist, just generally I wouldn't recommend it for reasons of consistency. It's all oil at the end of the day, but in refinement different detergents etc are being used by each company, and you don't know how they may interact with each other, although I would assume the...

Do you know what's in there now? If it's conventional non-synthetic oil you don't want to start putting synthetic in there unless you do a full flush. That being said I wouldn't mix other synthetics either. If it's conventional oil I wouldn't care as much about mixing it if you only need a...

Oh an on Ultra 94, unless you're running forced induction or much higher compression than stock, forget about it. The car is rated for 91 and that's all you need. More octane than you need is harded to burn, and the engine can experience worse performance, possible hesitation on hard...

    Test pipes increase engine risk?

In open loop? I don't think so. Long term fuel trim etc is for closed loop only..unless i'm smoking crack open loop /WOT doesn't adjust

    Test pipes increase engine risk?

Mine came with it, I'm more against test pipes more for cops than anything else.

    My dyno is up!

Oh I agree, a wideband before a cat is much better/accurate.
  22. satan_srv

    Test pipes increase engine risk?

Test pipes will change your A/F ratio due to the change in exhaust flow. Not recommended unless you have tuning tools and are heading to a dyno shortly. You can take the risk that it will be okay, but I doubt you want to run the risk. I run a 'high flow' cat just to avoid harassment from cops...

    My dyno is up!

Nice numbers! I like the nice flat tq curve and consistent power. Now get up here the 400whp already :p The fact that you have no reference for the A/F ratio is not so cool though, if I were you I would go throw down another run at a place with a tail pipe sniffer for piece of mind, you don't...

Individual Throttle Body System pros and cons

Well you need full engine management..and sock filters or a custom airbox...it's also LOUD AS HELL.. How much are you modifying the engine? there's a lot of things to do before ITBs are warranted. Plus many would argue a well designed plenum can do the job just fine and be easier to tune
