Funny huh, the biggest land mass state with the richest natural resources any where in the US territory is managed by a woman with "no" experience who has a 80% approval rating, who also had the courage to take down the corruption of her own party.

Obama? Yeah, ride out bike to work, or inflate your tires and oil change to save gas because he doesn't believe in keeping the money state side and let other countries take $80 billions of our money each year.:confused:

I guess steve doocy can be pertty smart some times if he can figure that out.

Nice try though. I know that's all you got.

Now don't forget to "tread lightly" my friend.

Whoa hold it there cowboy... I did not want to step on your toes there. It's great that we have our differences. After all, we are all Americans here.

I don't fully believe in everything the politicians say and I'm pretty convinced at least we can all agree on that .

Bottoms up man!
First off, I don't drink and I'm not a cowboy. You can't step on my toes over the internet.

The problem is when you have no faith in politicians, and you have the option to choose one, but decline to, than yeah, you pertty much have no faith with this country. After all, this person is going to represent all of us here in the USA for during their term in office.

No one is perfect, and no one will ever be perfect. We had some great presidents, and every one of them had critics who hated them at the time, and history judged them well. We also had some pertty lousy and forgettable presidents, some of them literally vanished from our book - Except their name.

When you make quote and make comments without given any reason to back up your claim, of course you will get the same treatment back. After all, we're here to discuss and have fun. If the response is lame, I'll return with a lame response with the assumption that you're a lame person.

Go outside and take a deep breath, feel better? I was attempting to diffuse this thread a bit... remember "thread lightly" my friend. I'm glad your passionate about politics, but seriously? Putting that much faith in any politician makes you kinda scary man...

Vance - I'm personally with ya on McCain/Palin (unabashedly so..) but you have to understand that NOT EVERYONE CARES as much as you and I may.... so you gotta lay off them.

I have a question though - after Palin's speech, did anyone get swayed more towards one way or the other...? EG: Was leaning D, but now R, or vice versa?

that is a very good question, i would not be suprised if some people are swayed by her, especialy mothers.

mccain really needs to knock it out of the park tonight with some exact details of what hes planning to do to finaly shut up the "all they do is fancy talk hey dont have any substance" bs

They have already knock it out of the park. Tonight, McCain can simply destroy his opponent.

She was clever, smart, did not stuttered, had a great presentation of her self, and most importantly - All of the sudden, no one from any Cable News net work have challenged her for accomplishment before, during, and after the speech other than telling the world she was negative towards Obama, and that's not good politic. Hmmm, MSNBC is probably shit in their paints.

Exactly man. I'm too honest to be a politician!

Because you're "too honest" for people to support you?

Yes. There are very few fields for honesty, the political arena is not one of them unfortunately. Remember during the primaries how the left and right were clearly defined, now were full into fall and certain things are ignored: avoiding being too centrist. In short, they will say anything to be in office.

If you believe all the wind your politicians are promising, that's being way to ignorant---not very healthy. I'm a optimistic person, but I draw a line somewhere.

i was actualy going to youtube that video today of newt slamming msnbc, thanks for finding it for me, ive seen it like 5 times on fox:tongue:

good speech tonight, and ive never seen so many balloons in my life.

i escpecialy liked cindy mccains speech before john came on, very touching, she is a great woman

McCain delivered an excellent speech today. A true patriot and a proud American. I salute him.

Regards,

Danny

Ditto, back to the Presidential poll! :)

Here's why I'm supporting McCain/Palin.

God, I LOVE that first video.

By the way, I voted in the poll... the only thing I could click was that I'm a republican and I always vote republican.... but that's not true. I don't always vote republican.... and I don't know if I'm not more libertarian now than when I registered... but either way I'm defiantly NOT voting for Obama.

Has been some entertaining reading going through this thread. Lots of passion for their political figures.

I for one am leaning heavily towards Obama simply because I do want a real change from the last 8 years of the presidency and 7 or so years of Republican controlled congress. It was not until 2007 that congress really changed hands if you recall. In my mind McCain represents.....you'll kill me for writing it.....More of the same.....it has already been 26 years.

In any event, I am excited to see Bush finally go. The mess he and the Republican controlled congress left behind will be difficult to clean up for whomever wins and sadly will take more then 4 years.

My half cent.

Character wise, he's great. It's the continual failed policies that bothers me . During the RNC, only once in the opening that Bush name was mentioned and the "Drill, Drill..." is not the answer to our energy problems. How is this "change"?

Agreed. I respect the man but disagree with his positions. Unfortunately, how many on this forum can say that about Obama without failing a lie detector test?

I don't know what you guys were listening to.

I heard Drill Drill Drill, while seeking alternative energy. They even listed what they want to do.

Obama, ride your bike to work. Inflate your tires and do an oil change.

The whole point is to let the world know that we also have natural energy we can tap in to, the only people preventing us from doing this is our own political party.

I guess some of us don't mind watching the sunset and seeing the silhouette of oil rigs of our coast.

Vance, we are looking into the long term sustainable solution, drilling off our coastal lines is not it. After reading some of your replies, I think you're historically a Republican to begin with. Anything the democrats say or do short of walking on water will not sway you otherwise. McCain is doing a good job securing his base apparently---I just hope the independent voters make the right choice.

I live in Huntington Beach, every corner you go, you see oil pumps. And yes, we have beach front view with oil platform in the picture. And yes, even with the real estate decline, the houses with the oil platform view still more than $1 mill.

let's wait and see how they debate it out during actual debates. Sarcasm can only go so far in this thread. Looking forward to the future discussion after the candidates present their case.

She has one month to learn to compete with Sen. Biden's 37 years' experience on national and foreign policy issues. Please pass the popcorn Vance .
