Interested in a DYNO DAY?

Hey Spooler, congrat!!!

I bet the numbers made you smile!!!

Next time we'll have a cigar together. I'm smoking an Opus X right now:biggrin: To celebrate your numbers for ya.

Thanx very much Vance...and for the celebritory Smoke:biggrin: I'm not an affectionato but have a friend who is and he says Opus X is Top of the Line. Sorry I missed it.

Your car continues to impress...fantastic result. Hope to see it in person sometime soon.

It was great to meet Brian and Bici. Both Guy's were super serious about what they were doing as well as knowledgable and friendly. Both very busy but answering all questions and Bici an extremely Polite fellow, handling the cars with great care.

It was great to meet fellow primer's and thanx again Chad for being such a good sport about last spot.

I am extremely pleased with the results of this latest 3.3 (Upgraded motor on a completely different level than previous) I was also advised that tuning is spot on. Science of Speed must be commended for their efforts.

Spooler

330.6 whp
244.3 trq

Pretty good turn out. After a few months of breaking in the ProSpeed Rom III chip, ProSpeed HFC, headers, and a lot of help from Ramon with a valve adjustment and gasket replacement, I made some decent gains.

Initial tune after install in August
Max HP - 253.4
Max Torque - 187.2

After valve adjustment/gasket replacement/Torco Oil Change (December)
Max HP - 261.8 (+8.4)
Max Torque - 203.0 (+15.8)

Top honors (NA C30A motor) goes to Manh3. Awesome power and torque.

Here's my dyno graph, sorry for the layout. I need to have Ramon swap out my plugs and do a valve job for me. I hope that with the maintenance I can up my hp numbers like sircarius.

Thanks Brian and Bisi for setting everything up.

HP: 271.3 @ 7700 rpm
TQ: 208.9 @ 6470 rpm

My mods are

Prospeed stage 3
GruppeM Exhaust
Comptech headers
Stock Airbox with Uni filter

My thanks to Brian and Bisi for a great dyno and tune day. I now have a better understanding of how things are and what needs to be done.

I and everyone involved had been bothered by frustrations with my numbers after my engine build, but thanks to Brian and Bisi, I now see the light. :D What a difference a day makes.

Next time, Dyno/BBQ! LOL! :D

My setup:

Built motor w/ 9.0:1 compression
RM Racing headers
GT-One Version 2 Titanium Exhaust
Prospeed high-flow catalytic converter
Custom supercharger system w/ aftercooler @ 16 lbs.
50/50 water/methanol injection
AEM EMS

Last dyno on Dyno Dynamics (same setup except that I was running test pipes): 481whp / 314 ft/lb.

New Dyno (after new tune):

Gary,

How's it going? Too bad you weren't at this dyno. Lots of smack talk, and an offensive discussion about Tyrese. We had some great Thai food afterwards and Chad's place down the street. Heard you were up in NorCal. Maybe next time.

Awsome stuff! great to see you guys had fun and had a great tuning session.
Hope i can come out next time.
take care and have a great Christmas to ALL

You have to come next time for sure! It turned out better then I hoped. I might do another dyno day sometime next year again. I'm glad everyone walked away happy with their Dyno #'s!

Hey Brian, did you take any sound clips video of my car? I'm dying to see it.

Thanks for the pics.

Wow, nice vids and numbers too! I'll be there next time to join on the fun.

For those who are interested in the exhausts...

Video One: VanceHu - Bell Canto Exhaust
Video Two: Sicarius82 - ARK DT-X
Video Three: Manh3 - GruppeM Version 3
Video Four: Spooler - Cantrell Concepts Endura Lite
Video Five: CDX_NSX - GT-ROM Version 2

Thanx for Pics and Vid's Brian.

I like all the Exhausts....all unique.

Now, it's too bad Gream's run was cutoff slightly on the Vid cause to hear this Monster being pushed to 8500rpm was scary. The sound was defeaning...like standing next to a giant Industrial Machine. As Max Power was reached I started to become dellusional thinking: If this thing let's go, it could take out the whole Complex

I can't even imagine what it would sound like with the Bell taco

LOL I know what you mean! It does get scary sometimes dealing with 500+hp cars but I guess that's what makes it exciting as well!

RON98,

It typically takes 15 to 20 mins depending on the car.

hey prospeed

how long does it take to setup up a car?

Rob,

The install of the chip to the ECU takes about an hour or so. The tune itself, depending on your A/F ratios, may take in upwards of 3-4 hrs, depending on you setup. I'm sure Brian (ProSpeed) will elaborate more.

i think prospeed got my drift.

i was not asking about tuning. i mean the setting up of the car and installing the wheels.

does 20 minute include putting the wheels back on? or just taking them off and putting the car on the dyno?

personally i opted out of hub dyno and got a DD due to the setup time factor

however zero wheel slippage and not having the wheels heat up is pretty awesome.

way cool videos. btw

Strapping down the car harder or looser can also affect hp figures. 15 to 20 mins from pulling the car in to the first run is not bad at all. Time goes by fast when you're having fun!
