    Clean 97 NSX at $33,500

I do not believe that there are deals such as the one spoken of here in any auction but a salvage one. Tiger740, I'd like to know what reputable auction house is selling the $33,500 '97 NSX's. It is just impossible for a clean titled, clean vehicle. p.s. you are talking about auto auctions...

    NSX snobbery?

Wow, I am thouroughly enjoying this discussion. Keep it going strong! I am too tired to add anything meaningful, but am sure keeping myself entertained by reading.

    Highest Mileage

What is the highest mileage NSX anyone has owned or seen? I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything. There has got to be some 250k-300k bad boys out there!

NSX losing quality over the years?

Todd, I noticed this as well. It seems that if you look very closely at the right angles and light, some panels are different colors than others. No one else ever notices it but the hard core car guys. It is because of the pearl paint. Why don't you try using a Elcometer to measure the paint on...

    Black NSX in Antioch,CA

I seem to be seeing a lot of NSX's in the Bay Area recently. On Sun., I passed a black one on Tunnel Rd. in Oakland and then saw a Spa Yellow parked in Hiller Highlands about 1 min. later. Then, today, I saw a Sebring Silver on 1st St. in SF heading towards the Bay Bridge. Anyone from here?

    Winshield washer lever not working

Jackson, Did you hold the lever down for a while? If you just tap it down, it only moves until you release it and then it stops on the windshiled wherever you let go. You have to hold it until it almost completes the wiping motion when using it that way. I don't know about the "EPM" light...

    92 now or 97 later

Wow, that's a lot of things. My 97 doesn't seem to have any of those problems, but then again, I don't tend to check out the stitching quality. That line in the engine bay is uneven on a lot of NSX's I've seen, regardless of age or paintwork.

    92 now or 97 later

I think that NSXotic's comment about poorer build quality is probably related to the fact that the Targa isn't as tight and solid as the coupes are. He's just not used to having the wind blowing across his head yet.

    Question for Florida people

Hey all, I may be going to Florida soon for business/pleasure. I was wondering if any of the FL residents could recommend some places to go and things to do. I'd like to know what you guys would recommend since I'm sure many of you know how to have fun. I am interested in the touristy stuff as...

    Windshield washer quit

I had the washer motor go out on my M3 and that is what I think is wrong with yours. If it makes no sound whatsoever, I would change out the motor. If you hear the motor working, but it just doesn't spray, try cleaning out the squirters. It was only $30 for the BMW one and a real easy DIY...

    trade in value

Ken, Trade-in prices are typically lower than auction prices but can vary, as Todd pointed out, based on the sale price of the new vehicle sale. Prices at auctions are not always the steal that everyone believes them to be. Chris

    92 now or 97 later

Start looking now for that Spa Yellow 97-T. It will take you some years to find it anyways. [This message has been edited by ck (edited 14 April 2002).]

    Is this a reasonable price.

That is quite a good price for that car. If you think a 97+ is worth it to you, I would hold out for it, but Ken is right, it will cost you 8-12k more for a similar car.

    Hi-Line auction in Florida cars

96-98 are increasingly rare to be coming off lease. Most cars American Honda sells these days are 1999-2001. I haven't seen a 97 in over a year and I haven't seen 96's for over two. Thanks for the compliments on the wheels!

    Hi-Line auction in Florida cars

If you buy from a large consigner or finance company such as Amercan Honda Finance, they usually list cars about a week ahead of time. Other than that, it depends on whenever the dealer brings the car in. That can be anytime up until the end of the auction.

    parking light

BBoxer, There is a screw deep up in there. You just have to loosen it, so it's not hard to replace. Try to get a flashlight to see up in there so you can get a better idea of what you are doing. I had a hard time changing the bulbs of a similar design on a legend because the car was on the...

    parking light

I thought that changing the headlight bulbs was about the damn hardest, pain in the ass thing I've ever done. Probably the hardest one of any car that I have ever had to change a bulb on! Came away pissed and with cuts all over my hands.
