I am excited to be refocused on my low millage 97 NSX. Its amazing that its been almost 10 years since I installed Angus's turbo set up but the car has been mainly stationary for the last couple of years as I focused on my GTR and then refreshed my Viper.
AS i write this i am waiting for a new...
Re: DIY Turbo kit
My main projects before installing the turbo was supercharging my vette and viper-
if you can install a supercharger I think you have the level of skill for the turbocharger- which really means the nerve to get your hands a little dirty.
I made my install a little harder...
Our cars obviously lead different lives- no dirt no grime for my nsx
its driven, washed and goes back under her cover- My mastercraft boat's amps see more abuse I would imagine-
hate to say it but if it did one day go out I would put a new one in- no worries there- more of a chance that my...
I did - The lump diassapears with the floor mat but I am considering removing it anyway or replacing it with a couple of flat alluminum bars
I ordered a couple of different grills and they all project a little much
You are kidding right?
there is a reason why i have removed the wipers neither the NSX or the Viper are driven if there is even a remote chance of rain -
never, ever, will not happen, never has - never will
probably why my 97 has 12,000 miles
I have plenty of other cars for days...
Just installed Angus's 10 inch sub box and amp. It fits incredibly well and sounds so good I am debating the necessity for installing the second amp and door speakers (which are already purchased). As you can see you don't know its there. The Amp is attached to a board which is bolted to the...
not sure how to link this but my dyno chart is at
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=58744&d=1247005852
Bottom line is the the power delivery is like stock- just more of it- much more
thats what I wanted- if I had supercharged the engine the power would be front load...
Turbo running great but last week under partial throttle I pulled a check engine
light-
turns out its P1243 Throttle Position Insufficient
when it comes on the traction control light also comes on
I can trip both by simply reving the car in neutral
is it a posistion sensor??
thanks
Totaly different
depends on my mood which i drive-
the Viper takes a lot more energy to drive but can be very rewarding- big block high torque- low reving slow shifting
the NSX- much more polished high reving fun-
no noticable lag- the power builds smotthly until redline just as stock but...
Jamie
I max out HP at 7800 rpm and my torque is pretty flat from 5500 rpm up
It is screaming VTEC madness to redline
Its the same old NSX just turned up to volume level 12

I am not sure why you are asking for one side of the story only- but I will give you my perspective anyway.
Personally, I have never been troubled about the theoretical loss of "reliability" attributed to modified cars. In my case the combination of added performance (and I will admit, in most...
I made my own base map and it ran fine (a little rich) I also can get you my tuned map (with meth) but I am running meth, intercooler and 9 lbs of boost-
problem is that I may not be able to get to the files until next Monday
let me know if you want them
