typical

Airline Execs loose everyone else's money, trash the employee's retirements, force employees to take 50% pay cuts, and then sell the fuel hedges to buy an insurance program to protect the Top Execs pensions, file for BK and then walk away with $XX,000,000 (yes, millions) and free 1st class, "must ride" air travel for life.

Leo Mullin - Delta <-- Harvard MBA Prick!
Robert Crandal - American <- Prick! (bragged on 60 min about cutting a Security Guard to 3 days a week - randomly to save $ and then replacing him with a Guard Dog, then only bringing the dog in 3 days a week to save more $)
Don Carty - American <-- Triple Prick
Don Carty - SkyBus (defunct CMH startup)
Bill Compton - TWA <-- former line pilot, turned greedy, backstabbing Rat
Carl Ican - TWA <--- Capitalistic, "give me mine" and I'll sell off the pieces Prick!
Frank Lorenzo - Eastern <--- King of Pricks!
Frank Lorenzo - Continental
Stephen Wolf - UAL <--- Dumb Prick
Stephen Wolf - US Air (double diped and F'd two airlines)
Jim Goodwin - UAL <--- Meant well, but was over his head. Walked away with $millions for giving it a shot.

Every single one of these CEOs trashed an airline or more than one, and then walked away with $ millions.

Fair point(s), sort of. My point wasn't, BTW, in reference to the airline industry in particular, just toward folks that are wildly optimistic (like airline execs, restauranteurs, etc).

I'm sure a lot of those guys are pricks though. And shitty pilots to boot.:smile:

Well, I live in a mobil home, drive a Corvair, usually wear shorts and t-shirts. I don't care what anyone thinks. I don't even care what I think. I don't even do anything. So I consider myself and my dogs to be extremely successful.

Hey it's all about being happy in the end right? I see people with millions that are unhappy.
