The hulk made a rookie mistake. Very uncharacteristic, but a major foul up. He took out 1/4 of the field (himself, a Mc, an Alfa, a Red Bull and a Ferrari).
While the race victory seemed easy and the racing up front not exactly close, Bottas coming from the back, tire wear and a chance of rain (always) made the race exciting to me.

Rain in Monza is doubly challenging. Vettel's first pole and win were at Monza in the rain.
As the temple of speed, rain is it's enemy, but would make for an extra exciting race.

Rain is great at Monaco or Hungary or even Spa.
Rain always separate the Men from the Boys......however, I would like to see a mix rain, sunshine race, thais will mix up stuff.

Mixed conditions makes for an exciting race. It can really jumble up qualifying and the race.
Hamilton is the better driver on slicks in light rain and changing conditions.
But as noted, 52 laps behind the safety car would not be exciting.

Just checked the forecast again and yet another shift. Thunderstorms all day Friday but showing sun and partial clouds Sat/Sun.

The cars were flying today. We shall see how Kimi and Seb get started.
That was a thrilling, and very disappointing race.
Yea I agree; felt bad for Kimi but strategy calls are a big factor. More than anything, I was happy that GRO held off OCO at the end.
