Here is the final design!Looks great with '02 rear and wings west front. It is 1.25 inches lower than stock.I HAVE TO STILL MAKE THE DOOR SKIN.Understand these are still rough, final prep will be done by a bodyshop.
Thanks to all those who P.M. with ideas.

Thanks to all those who P.M. with ideas.

Dang car looks good as heck even as it sits.
Those look promising Stacy, now can you take the rear leading edge and.... JK

wow looks great!! now the big question... are you going to be making these and shipping them out? If so, how much and when?? Im super interested...
thanks

Chris

Wow! If it is going to be cheaper than the 02's I will order tie next year. Very nice and subtle.

After a lot of trial and error I think you have it just right. Looks just like the 02+ sides but lower. In any case it follows the lines of the body well. Awesome job! Thanks for you contribution.

Hang tight guys let me get the door skin done. Then I must make a matching side, that might kill me.LOL
Yes these will be for sale soon.I would like to see how many of you would be interested first.I am not sure about price, depends on how much the molds cost and how much to make each one.I need 6 molds, one for each rocker and two for each door skin.I will let you know.If you would be interested please let me know via PRIVATE MESSAGE.
Thanks Stacy

Stacy-
Yes, it looks very nice. Gotta see some good pictures with the door skin piece though to finish it and then of course painted. The height looks good, the contours look good. How would a door skin part attach?

Can't wait to see the car with the finished rockers. It woukd be great to post the final pictures along with a car with the original rocker, and a car with the '02 rocker for comparison.

Thanks for the note, I have been following the thread.

instead of waiting for the real thing match and painted, what about taking more pictures outside, from farther away, (as your first couple tries), then have someone here photoshoped the color, so everyone will see it and give you honest comments?

Just a suggestion... so in case anything need to be fixed, it won't break your bank (since you don't need to change both side and strip the paint.)

The original idea is to make them out of fiberglass I am also tossing around the idea of carbon fiber skirts as well.As for attachment of door piece,I know some car manufacturers just use a 3M double sided tape. This seems to work well and also won't hurt the paint underneath.I DO NOT want to start drilling holes in the doors,I think that would be foolish.

Here's a pic of the door skin.I hope it looks good in the end!It took 13.5 hours just to make the door skin.I tell you guys one thing, never in a million years would have I thought it would have been this stressful and hard!

hey Jin i just saw your reply and noticed your car is no longer widebody??!?? Curious why the change, and have you gone back to all oem body parts? I just completed the 04 front and rear conversions on my 95 midnight pearl and almost decided to widebody it, but thought about it and wanted to have a style that would last for a while after all this work... why the sudden change?

Sear Stacy,

I'm excited for you that the side sill panel is turning out very favorable. It was just for my own purpose that I colored it, but figured Prime members would love to see it also.

Again, great work and please keep us updated with your progress-- your doing a great job of it BTW.

Here it is the final kit before paint.Hopefully Vizal can work some magic with the colours again!Excuse the can of wax holding the skirt up(doesn't come with the kit)Again it just needs a little fine tuning, something the bodyshop can do.

You nailed it! It's perfect. Once you have the molds made I'm sure you will be able to sell quite a few. Keep us all informed...

Thanks again Vizal!Doesn't even look like I did anything to change the rocker.Maybe too subtle LOL.I just noticed no can of wax,Vizal I told you you were magic.

stacy, sorry for being a pain, wondering what will your side skirt look like without the front spoiler, I really like your creation, it's really what I have in mind, but I really wonder how it would go with factory front ends. with or without painting the front lip.

Henry, no offense, but majority of us, including Stacy, doesn't enjoyed the 355 / WW imitation of having a vent, no saying they look bad, I guess most of the aftermarket skirt had that vent and we got tired of it. ;) The cleaner styling is what we are after.

Stacy one more question: how much weight are we putting on the car with your kit?? :)
