Great game by the lakes last night and they got some pretty solid play from the bench offensively and defensively. Lakes looked aggressive! Hope they continue to play that way.

I thought three plays summarized the game well:

1. Farmar stealing the ball from Rondo from an inbound pass.
2. Artest stealing the ball from Davis underneath the basket.
3. Kobe blocking Allen's dunk.

Note, they were all defensive plays. And sheesh, were the refs calling a tight game or what?

Yup, 1 down, 3 more to go!!

lets not forget that the playoff pace has been set in the first game of the series, the series was over after the first game:smile:

This is very true in this series. It's going to be hard to win 2 in a row for either team. I gotta wonder what's going on with KG if he's just being defended to well by Gasol or if he's spooked.

Allen got payback from the refs for what they did to him in the first game.

Haaaaaaa!!!!! You got rained on by the old man bitchez!!!

Where's Eddie... All quiet now.... Hiding in the trunk of his NSX probably...

Ouch...this loss changes the series quite a bit. To be frank, I expected the lakes to win. That second quarter drought and Kobes 5th foul killed. Not to mention, Lamar not showing up.

Enjoy one of the few wins that you guys will get.....refs were bad and bad defense on a hot allen.......

We'll get you on tuesday.....enjoy this win for now.

The worst officiating finals game ever!!!!
Damn referees they even watched the replay when garnet tap the ball out of bounds while holding gasol's right hand....and awarded the ball to Celtics anyways

Maybe they felt bad for the calling 2 fouls on the clean blocked shots that Perkins and Davis had on Gasol.

The celtics outplayed the lakers no question but the damn calls are just too bad...I've been a long time NBA fan but this was unbelievably the worst ever.....

Really? Explain the supposed "foul" when Pierce blocked Gasol from behind cleanly, Davis blocked Bynum on the dunk attempt and how Bryant got a 3pt play off the double clutch shot that he was "fouled" on when in the replays it clearly showed Perkins nor Allen touching him.

Gimme a break, one missed out of bounds play and Faker fans bitch like little babies, not realizing the bullshit officiating that was going their way. Officiating was not the reason you lost, Rondo and Ray destroyed them. Odom was a no show, foul trouble kept Bryant/Artest @ bay, and Pierce played great defense.

I'm rooting for the Celts, but you have to admit, the officiating was terrible for BOTH sides. Phantom calls left and right, on both teams.

The officiating is , as usual in the NBA, inconsistent on both sides. However, since it has evolved (and the league and officials have let it) into hockey in shorts and tank tops over the years, it's no wonder!!

The physical play, traveling, carrying the ball (palming), etc., make a mockery of the rules and are an absolute joke! Watch some tape of the NBA from 40, even 30, years ago and it looks like a totally different game... point of reference, Wilt Chamberlain never fouled-out of an NBA game in his career!!

Today's NBA players, while more physically gifted, bigger, & stronger are, for the most part, much weaker in the fundamentals... but, they all no how to bang, grab, push, and cry when they get called for it... which isn't very often! It's a shame that the game has evolved to a street brawl where no one knows when the whistle will be blown for an infraction, or when it does for seemingly incidental or phantom contact. But, it is fun to watch... sort of like roller derby was ... and they wonder why they're losing hundreds of million of $ these past couple of seasons.

Don't know if it was the worst officiating ever but the refs definitely blew the out of bounds call as well as Kobe's 5th foul which was "pushing" Rondo out.

Meh...they've got to play through it b/c as good as the Celtics played, the lakes were right there to win it until 2 minutes about two minutes to go.
