QUOTE=Andrie Hartanto: Registration is still slow? I'm starting to think the NSX guys are all talk
I agree, especially when commitments were based on such show of interest
Doug just informed me that as of this morning only 12 NSXers have registered and the event is already half full
Seven more days are left before TrackMasters decides to close the registration preference to NSXers - especially novices given the initial numbers. Doug spent hours figuring how best to accommodate such numbers, the organizational issues associated with securing more instructors, etc. At this rate, if he chooses to close the registration to NSX novices sooner and offer the balance of spots to the F/P cars, or intermediate and advanced drivers, frankly I wouldn't blame him but encourage him to do so as well.
If this lukewarm interest continues, we may also decide to limit the club's refund of $25 to those NSXCA members in good standing who registered by May 27 rather than to continue the offer to all those who register within the first 30 days from opening the registration - as was initially posted. The whole idea was to jump start the registration with an incentive for an NSX focused/tour de force track event, and give TrackMasters a heads up of how best to organize the event based on our club's/NSX community needs.
