How 'bout that stock market?

Wouldn't be surprised if that happened, but prob not here/today unless some particularly good news comes out. If you're looking for the big pop, it will probably be for a few days when the S&P retests the March lows. Lots of buyers waiting for that.

I doubt the S&P is going to March lows on OE week. I am cleanimg up my portfolio this week because the last few mondays after OE have been blood baths.

Playing GS pre market....get in guys, its a playground and the sandbox is full of money.

I know I am throwing hundreds in the air over here > : )

edit, and the MM is throwing 1000 dollar bills in the air with the friggen spread.

Specialist...not MM....HUGE difference.

We like MM, we DO NOT like specialists. Well, at least that is the case for me.

26.90 is the cost basis. Someone may want to ride the wave when I unload this. It's possibily big enough to move it a bit.

how many shares? what you have the sell order in at?

i'll short through your sale if its big enough.

well this sucks. down about 40 grand

I'm down about 70 on my open positions. thinking of selling calls on this block of apple i've got.

29.64?....is that you?

Man... there goes everything I'm watching... GS, FITB, MI... (no I didn't buy GS so it's not my fault this time :) , just been watching it).

all the financials are down today, everything else is up. So that answers the question everyone has been asking, "can the market move forward without the finacials"...NO.

leh cb=26.6270

Sure wish I knew where Einhorn was covering at. :)

and boom goes the dynamite.. got the 2nd of three moves I'm expecting short term out of CME. Not all the financials are flat  even though CME isn't really a financial in the sense it makes money like a typical bank does. I had a strong feeling CME under 400 was a solid value but it was risky.

Moved up my stop in GS close to 180, not going to be greedy I'm up 3%+ on the day without making a single trade when the market is in the red a little. MRO is gaining some momentum as well but if it gains another 3-4% I will sell 20-33% for equity in other ideas.

I lost 25ish a share on the CME ride down a few weeks ago. :frown:

Not looking good for me so far. I absolutly futzed the morning. I play swings in the market, but the swing i was playing this morning was suited to my bigger timeframe (and thus i'm not supposed to take them until my account size is bigger). This skipped my mind and thus i got chopped around entering and exiting the move 3x's. Only to reverse out on another BIG chart swing that got my in on the tiny chart only not to confirm on the big chart... welcome more losses. Sitting -255.00 as we start the afternoon shift. My dumb ass shouldn't have put on a trade.

Hand has been slapped. And i'm pushing forward. I still think we can make a good bit of money this week even with this massive screw up. I'm just not quite sure how i let myself get into this position but i did. Beating myself up over it won't help so were just gonna go on a trade properly the afternoon shift. i'm really embarrased at my mistake. you would think i would've made sure about that.

Print out your rules and read them before every trade, It's what I used to do. I don't fuck up anymore, I take all the trades that fall into the trades I take, It's not worth losing money over doing something stupid, it sounds like you are still getting emo over the market. If that is the case trade smaller, trade $1 per trade until you get it under control.

lol. Emo over the markets. I love it. No really, thats really funny! I'm not so much emo over the markets as i am over my mistake. But you make a good point and i'm gonna take your advice. Anyway, I traded the afternoon perfectly, took one trade that resulted in par... the markets are asleep today and I didn't want to rock the crib. No other trades signaled. Sooo... -255 on the day. I said i would post up for better or for worse... this is the for worse part.

Should be at +0 on the day, but i'm not, i screwed up, but i learned a lesson. I still am confident i'm gonna pull a nice chunk of change this week! :)

If you are frowning I should be arranging the noose. I went long 33% of my position at 453. Around 415 bought again, and again when all hope was lost [for everyone but me] at 393. My cb is 418 if I remember correctly so it wasn't until this latest jump that I didn't look more or less like a sucker. I've got a stop in the 430's, not making that mistake again. I accidently put the stop at 449 after making my first position as 'good for the day' until GTC, costly mistake.

I think I got in around 450's and out at 425 ish then watched it fall under 400.

I am still in LEH waiting for a bounce to trade it out. cb=26.4607
