Finally ready to show her off - CCWs

do you think you could of went more aggressive in the front or no

it looks great btw:biggrin:

I appreciate all of the comments! I really didn't think the CCWs would look right on the NSX because of it's timeless lines but I had to give it a shot.

that's such a sick set up.. any fender rolling or fender work for the rear?

No fender work whatsoever. The liners are all still in. I think the rears will not rub but I am probably going to have some rubbing issues on the front with big bumps in the road and at the track (whenever I can get this thing out to one). Camber is -2 front and -3.3 rear.

Nicely done! No wonder you sold your wing. This looks fantastic.

My recipe is simple: stock body/wheels/lower/lip and then I'm done with the exterior :)

Man I love the CCWs. Have you tried going with 275s in the back?

With this offset, no chance on the star spec 275's. I honestly don't think you could clear a 265 star spec either unless you went to a 10.5 wide wheel and dialed in -4deg or more. You could run a 265 or 275 on this fitment only if they match the width of this 255 star spec. It runs wide, so it's about like a 265.

Really nice, were you a previous Supra owner?

Owned two Supras. Same user name over on supraforums. My white hardtop launched a massive CCW thread in case you've seen it.

Black is so mean and clean looking.Very nice..!

I normally hate black because of the upkeep but this is the 3rd black NSX that I've owned and I don't think I could own one in any other color and be 100% happy. Just seems right for this car. Red with black roof, I'd like to try sometime though.

Not really with the star spec, but at -2deg I guess there is more camber if you wanted to give it a shot with a 215/40 that runs a little more like a 215...maybe something really stretchable like the Falken Ziex or whatnot. There is another forum member with the CCW LM20s that went really aggressive on offsets and could elaborate on what it takes. The lips come in half inch increments so you sometimes end up with too much of a leap in offset to reach the next bigger lip before you can't clear the fender.

Please post specs of the wheel package for inquiring minds :redface:

Think they were posted by another user, but they are 17x8.5 +38 215/40/17 Dunlop Z1 Star Spec and 18x10 +25 255/35/18 Dunlop Z1 Star Spec.

Not sure but if I had to guess it might be for a slight advantage in competitions that specify a street tire with a particular rated size? Also, they are a little towards the square side on the shoulders so maybe that contributes. I don't know much about advans but my guess is that the star spec is one of the wider street tires in a given size. Check out the offset calculator in google and plug in the sizes you are going to run and my front sizes to see how much the offset changes. Then figure in that certain tire models may give you a few more mm of room.

With the nsx/supra thread going on currently, how do you like the turbo nsx compared to the TT supra honestly? Power wise is in reference to the question, looks has already been discussed.

Which thread is it? I can definitely chime in.

Beautiful execution, what a machine.

I'm running Star Specs as well, 265's in the rear and they are fine in track conditions. I wish I can force everyone out there to buy these tires, they are fantastic. I just installed a set on my GTR today...ride quality is top notch, amazing wet weather handling and bargain of a price.

Sweeeeet!!! by the way you sure you did not scrape your roof under the trailer!lol
How low is it? Can you post some pics of your interior?

PS-just a teaser, that interior would look great in yours!!!!!!

I would have if I keep driving under it. It was about a half inch short of clearing the trailer.

I'm sitting at 3.5in at the front and rear jack points under the side skirts. I had a little rake before but I sacrificed it to get the rear fender gap down a little more. I can still clear the 2.5-3in speed bumps in my neighborhood.

For the interior, I am broke as a joke at the moment, but I would like to eventually do something like Synth but with my own choice of color and stitching (maybe tan and black or something?).

The CCWs are very popular in the Supra MKIV community... I have never seen them on a NSX.

VERY nice!

I wasn't the first on the Supra community by any stretch of the imagination, but I may have to toot my own horn for boosting the popularity. Here was my most recent MKIV in case it looks familiar:

Funny, I see these on M3's and they do absolutely nothing for me but they really work well on your car. Very nice.
