Caveat Emptor!
Are you sure that would be (2.7 kg = 5.9 lbs)
can you please show me pictures that these weight that much ,
without the right structure how would a seat stay in shape.
the resin/epoxy material usually holding onto carbon fiber is FIBERGLASS
I have owned 2 sets of these (but sold them all) Hence the price for these seat! that's why they are the lightest OEM seats out there. And they even lighter than your seats.
Here's the label of the seat... but if you still insist of holding on to it to believe, you have to buy one for yourself. Every seat leaves the production line gets weighed and labeled, so they vary by few miligrams. (comma in europe is equivalent to our decimal point)
See my Avatar? that's my son sitting on a red Recaro Type-R.
thanks for the info but , i was wondering if you can weigh the seat on a scale. and take pictures please.
Overall you are comparing a seat that cost how much to our pricing for seats.
We are just giving you guys another option for seats at a lower price.
ming
Actually, I wasn't trying to compare your seats and the Recaros Type-R.
You STATED that all seats are made with FRP insert and wrap in CF/CK... therefore I pointed out to you that the Type-R seats are pure CK and therefore lighter than your seat.
There's no need for me to go out and find a scale and weigh it for you to prove my point. I owned several of these seats and I know how light they are. If you don't believe what the label saids oh well.
i'm human i make mistakes =P
i just wanted to know if you can weigh it on a scale
i'm sorry to say i don't know how to read that language that is on the label right there thats why.
F1Spec-
Do you know if your seats are FIA approved?
I own a pair of the Type R seats, those are probably the lightest crash tested bucket out there. Are you sure that would be (2.7 kg = 5.9 lbs)

With an attitude like yours, companies like Recaro and Bride won't exist and you will be relying on the company in China to take care of the design..... Hahahaha. I'm just imagining what the seats would look like if they had to design them themselves.
Competition and fair pricing?????? So one company spends time and money developing and testing a product and as soon as they bring it to market it gets copied and you think that's fair???? How would you feel if that happened to you?
See the "Spoon style", "Mugen style", "Recaro style" crap? You honestly don't have a problem with that at all?
If F1 spec had come up with a unique design / new manufacturing technique or some other slightly original idea and then had the product made in China, I'd be impressed.
I don't think it is cool to bash a vendor on his/her own thread. It is ok, however, to ask questions:

Ming, I see you're trying to get your seats FIA approved. My question is, if your vendor in Asia gets their seats FIA certified, is it umbrella'd, or grandfathered, such that resellers who buy these seats can also claim these seats to be FIA certified under their own brand? In other words, 1) did your vendor in Asia get its seats FIA certified, and 2) if so, even if they get their seats certified, does f1spec have to certify it again since it is OEM'ing it with a different brand name?
I second that. There is always a small group of people trying to show off their R parts, or trying to compare their R parts with the products that the vendors are trying to sell. I would suggest those people to back off, enjoy their R parts, and leave this vendors alone. Most of the people here on Prime is well educated enough to make their own judgement.
When do you expect to get FIA approval for the seats? Will it be in time for this racing season?
only complaint from me are more velcro on the bottom of the cushions so they dont slide as much(easy fix) 2nd other options of wrapped material
great looking seats. good attitude from the vendor imo...they are remaining calm and respectable.
