Actually, I did make a mistake. The Champagne is not light tint, but I have adjusted the order as requested. The light tint option is the same price as the champagne. For now, just choose that option and then email me to let me know you want light tint.
For those who have not seen one in person yet, you will not be disappointed. In fact, the price is too low in my opinion!

I drove the car without the stock engine cover...and it looks ghetto in my opinion. The engine cover is a must, either carbon fiber or stock. It seems like all the high end exotic cars are using carbon fiber these days.

Guys, here's the update.
As of today, the engine covers have not been sent. I spoke with Ben at Downforce today. He said they're waiting for the engine cover stands(stays) from Honda. They should arrive today or Monday. If not, they will figure it a way to acquire some at retail and get the engine covers done and shipped.
Downforce is in the process of moving, so they are in and out of two places and very busy.
What I don't understand is that on 09/07/06 Peter posted here that the engine cover stays arrived and they were putting the final tocuh on the engine cover before sending them out. It's 10/13/06 today and they're still waiting for the same part?
I am keeping my hopes up that they will be able to ship the engine covers out next week.

Engine Cover Update
Here is a quick outline of what is happening. So far to date we have shipped out 3 covers to people who had ordered from me before the group buy was ever started, except one was under special circumstance. I ordered 15 hood stays, stay brackets, rod holder, etc. But the rod holder I only got 3 from Honda. The other 12 are on backorder. I can scan the receipt of the stuff that came in this week and they cancelled our order for the remaining holders (I don't know why). Anyways I ordered through another dealer right after and hope it will arrive soon. I was really expecting all the parts to come in this week and sorry for the big let down. Maybe the people who received their covers can share their opinion on the quality and if they are satisfied. As always I don't like to name the customers for privacy reasons, so if they want to post their thoughts on it, it would be great.
What I can do is the following, if you are tired of waiting. I can ship out whatever I have and then just send the rod holder when they come in. If you would like this option please email Ben directly, and we will go ahead and ship out the covers on Monday. The cover works without the rod, and there is 2 screws that holds the "rod holder". We use a stainless hex screw (by default), but can also provide a simple stainless 10mm hex bolt.

Also, I am not in charge of sales anymore, nor do I pick up the phone anymore. I was never good in sales and I'm not the most organized person in the world and trying to do all the front end office stuff has gotten me stressed out over a year period. This is the reason why Ben is here to help me. Out of all the people in the industry, I only wanted him and had to try very hard to get him to come aboard with me. He is a very hard pusher for you guys, if we are backordered he will be b*tching at us in the back to get it made quickly because he doesn't like getting calls about people asking on the status of the order.
The Move
We are in the process of transitioning to a different location. The shop I was in gotten too small because as I made new products I was running out of room for my molds, and these molds eat up space and are very big and hard to handle. Our DSL got cut off on Wednesday so we lost e-mail for now. The DSL was suppose to be connected on 10/06/2006 at the new location but somehow SBC said they never received the order. So now I'm in the process of getting a T1 line and also a DSL line for extra redundancy. Looks like we are out of internet service until maybe the 26th of October.
Ben came in here and setup a new invoicing system and with new part numbers that makes more sense. He is doing a lot to clean up the mess I piled up with too many orders outstanding orders. Please allow us a month to get fully efficient. I want to provide better service and we have a whole new line of products waiting to be released, but we will do so when we can handle the customer service.

2) when do you believe you will have all the parts at hand; and
3) when you believe the last of the first five will ship.
