I enjoyed seeing the Noble in person at NSXPO last month. I found myself lurking around that car at almost every opportunity. It is an impressive package. The car looked to be well turned out. Fit and finish were good and the interior was attractive as well. The one thing you need to get...
Mark,
As a matter of fact our friend Rob has spent considerable time on the phone with me this week discussing the flow properties of the C30. I now have some great tips on modifying my intake manifold, VVIS plate and heads. I'll be using larger valves with a 5 angle valve job. This...
UPDATE!!!Tampa area caravan for Dec 5th Orlando Luncheon
As my car is STILL not ready to go I WILL NOT be participating in the caravan on the way up to Orlando for the Holiday Luncheon. Heather and I will be attending the luncheon but will be in Orlando for the entire weekend. However, anyone...
Chris,
It was good to see you at NSXPO. Thanks for the feedback. Couple of q's for you. When was this testing done and who was it done for? Not questioning the results, just curious as to the source. Any opinion on guides or valve sizing?
I need to buy new valves for my C30 rebuild and have found Ferrea stainless steel valves for sale in two sizes. Does anyone have any knowledge regarding these valves? Any feedback on going up 1mm in size? They offer that as an option, 31.05mm and 37mm. I'm not sure how much extra machine...
Armando,
Nice work my friend. I didn't realize you had planned a "facelift". Great results. I hope to see it at Sebring next month. Best to you both! :)
I have to agree with Ken on this one. While I don't know how the #'s worked out for this year's NSXPO, it is my understanding that NSXPO's tend to operate at a financial loss once all the expenses have been covered. Perhaps if there was a shortfall this year we could try to, at least...
Beware. My personal observations with this company were very disconcerting. A very well known member of the community had a VERY bad experience that dragged out over several months. Caveat emptor and in your case possibly caveat venditor as well!
Ben said, "The spoiler was manufactured by Autoform and combined with the front splitter has improved the high speed handling characteristics."
WHAT A LINE OF CRAP! :D
Ben just wanted the biggest a$$ wing known to mankind to bolt onto the back of that beast!
I think most of the NSXCA...
In each of the track incidents being discussed in this thread the students were behind the wheel of their own car. Each had the benefit of very experienced instructors in their car at the time of the accidents but at the end of the day, there's only one steering wheel, one brake pedal and one...
Ted,
Congrats on your new car and welcome to the community!
I've been told that tire manufacturers use a "release agent" when producing the tires and that can take as many as 500 miles to fully wear off. I have experienced the same unsettled feeling in my car while on brand new...
Yes, but for the cost of the Enzo you could have a fully sorted Noble, an NSX and a home with a nice garage for each. You get what you pay for.
I saw Tim's car in person and it is a beautifully turned out package. For someone looking for an alternative to a new NSX or 996 this car offers an...
I'm surprised that neither airbag deployed. That must have been one hell of an impact. Makes you wonder why they didn't? It obviously backed into whatever it hit but you'd think the airbag would help catch the occupants on the rebound. Curious.
Rick,
"Hot chips" basically modify the oem ecu's fuel mapping and timing to be more aggressive. They add more fuel and more timing. Obviously, anything that adds more timing to your engine can compromise the long term health of your internals. I have run a hot chip in the past, a...
I'll take them. Attempted to send PM but your message total exceeds the limit and you are not able to receive any additional messages until you delete some old ones. (That's the message I got when I tried) Please email [email protected] to advise. TIA :D
Tetsuo,
It was a pleasure meeting you this past week at NSXPO. Thanks for sharing your pics. We all have some great memories to enjoy!
Best regards,
Scott
