I need to buy new valves for my C30 rebuild and have found Ferrea stainless steel valves for sale in two sizes. Does anyone have any knowledge regarding these valves? Any feedback on going up 1mm in size? They offer that as an option, 31.05mm and 37mm. I'm not sure how much extra machine work etc would be required for the change in size. Also, any suggestions for valve guides? I'm going to be replacing them as well. I've decided to run the 3.2L springs instead of my 3.0L set. I understand they are a better spring. I am going to be running stock cams with forced induction, most likely turbo, on a low compression sleeved bottom end. Thanks in advance for any and all constructive feedback! :D

The stock valves were tested by a materials specialist who determined that the quality of material used would likely surpass anything available in stainless steel for strength and heat durability.

Chris,
It was good to see you at NSXPO. Thanks for the feedback. Couple of q's for you. When was this testing done and who was it done for? Not questioning the results, just curious as to the source. Any opinion on guides or valve sizing?

Generally on Hondas there is enough meat int the valve seat for a 1mm increase without requiring new seats. The existing seats need to be cut, but new ones aren't required. I don't know if this is applicable to the NSX head, but it is many others.

Make sure you consider the effects of shrouding before you send the head out.

Mark,
As a matter of fact our friend Rob has spent considerable time on the phone with me this week discussing the flow properties of the C30. I now have some great tips on modifying my intake manifold, VVIS plate and heads. I'll be using larger valves with a 5 angle valve job. This baby will breathe!

I did receive a box that appears to contain my SS box. Hope you guys were able to get that wiring project completed. Best to you and Maria. ;)
