Does anyone know if the single disc clutch still uses a flywheel from the dual disc? Would I still be able to use the new Tilton fly, if I get SPEC to send a single disc clutch to me? Assuming they answer my emails.

Thanks. From the end of your post it sounds like you are not selling the Stage2 rebuilt unit anymore. Is this true? Does that mean with or without shims, the problems with the clutch dragging can't be resolved?

The electric mirror switch that moves the mirrors is the same basic shape for the Honda models with heated mirrors. So you could make it look like the NSX had heated mirrors from the factory if you change the switch to another model's.

Update The car is at the dealer's now having the clutch fitted. The shims are removed, at the advice of people here. The mechanics are telling me that they are having trouble with gear selection. The car is not ready, and I was to have a track test day today, so that's cost me the entry fee.

Well they are the shims I took out. They are in the recesses in the flywheel that the guide pins go into.

Can someone that has had a SPEC clutch, and removed the shims, please tell me where they are. My clutch is due to go in Wednesday. I have contacted Sos as advised, but as I didn't get the clutch from there, they wouldn't help. I am also in contact with a guy at SPEC but is now not answering.

In some cases where there is a leak but no actual tear in the boot, it could be that the band has snapped. I have had two bands break. The band stays on and looks OK, but the spot weld that holds a piece of it together breaks, and so the band is not tight enough to keep the grease in.
