A bit off topic... Tom -- I think I've seen this Elise (Exige?) at the Windy CCA events for at least 2-3 seasons now. Did he lose it at the exit of the kink ?? I'm assuming he straight-lined the chicane, pinched the kink and ran out of room on exit. Hopefully the driver/instructor came out...

Another comparable data point is the coming Mustang (Shelby GT500), which becomes the next SVT Cobra. See a preview in C&D Comparable power-to-weight to a Corvette using a detuned Ford GT motor putting out 450+ hp / 450 ft-lb at a sub $40K price point... sure it'll be more a point-and-squirt...

Unclear if it would cost any more/less, particularly with the right production volumes. The main difference between an auto-manual SMG type tranny (or Ferrari F1, Maser Cambiocorsa, etc) and a traditional shift-able "slushbox" is that the former retains the efficiences of a true manual...

Just heard about this today... will be at Autobahn CC (Joliet) with the Audi Club HPDE, so will have to pass. That means the car comes out of hibernation TODAY -- just in time with the snowy Good Friday weather :(

Interested in a "terra cotta" type red, similar to faded brick. Porsche uses it as "Boxster Red" in their 986/911 and CGT; Mercedes uses a similar color on their sports/sporty cars. Is this color available in either suede or smooth perforated leather ??
