Lol. Post 1 more time to bring the count to 6666What are their names and do you have their phone numbers?
The update
The NSX Specialists have not been informed on whatever incentives Acura threw at the dealerships that resulted in the super consumer friendly discounts being seen/discussed in the past few days.
Acura doesn't make money of the car to start with so whatever they are doing is going to be a red ink generating thing.
US sales for September will be bad. The numbers were not published today as far as I have seen.
The locking lug nuts mentioned by some one here are from the accessories catalog and would have been dealer installed.
The crashed car purchased back by Acura is at the PMC but no word on the progress of the repair.
They spoke with one owner who has a Fabspeed exhaust and has been happy with it.
No takers on the NSX GT3 yet.
They are still trying to get in touch with Kris Bryant to offer him a tour.
The Acura leadership participants at NSXPO had positive things to say about this year's event.
Also with the 2018 model having no changes from the 2017, I doubt there will be many takers of the 2018's. The near term outlook for the new NSX looks dim from a sales perspective.
@Bricks and Bio first of all thanks for all your valuable input here. Can you help me understand better if these recent deep discounts are originating from Acura Corporate as it relates directly to the NSX itself or is it moreso just a general Acura inventory clearance incentive that most dealers take into account each year (i.e. volume quota bonuses, etc). Sorry, if i'm not communicating this well. I don't know enough of what occurs between dealer/manufacturers here.
its a convoluted system of trunk money based upon cars on the ground and # of nsx sold. smh. max per car from acura is 30. anything over that is the dealership discounting the vehicle. Thanks RYU
The NSX Specialist had no info on the concession by Acura to the dealerships
I would believe what Space Trucking pointed out
Another fun thing to track is will the Specialty dealers grab some super discounted cars and try to move them in their local markets. Clearly some of them got screwed by buying the early cars (at high prices) and are now competing with cheaper, delivery miles, untitled cars at the dealerships.
