Where are all the Production deliveries ??

in NorCal, previously white/red nsx is now matte silver/red with blacked out beak, dark silver grille inserts, smoked turn signal, and glossy CF.

Can you say warranty void!

Why would you say that? or are you joking can't tell...?

Not sure what powdbyrice means on his post - was there supposed to be a photo attached?

It's a small world. I know whos car it is. And who painted it...which wasn't at PMC. American Honda also knows this. I've heard that the repaint was inside and out. So dashboard came out. All trim came off. Plus lots of electronics got messed with.

So let's assume there's some problem that comes up which can be attributed to to all of that work done to the car. Maybe a rattle behind the dash. Or maybe a wire harness got pinched putting stuff back together and is causing an intermittent electrical fault. Is American Honda supposed to just eat the cost of fixing what a body shop broke?

Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act my friend. Honda would have to prove that was the cause.... "according to the FTC, the manufacturer or dealer must be able to demonstrate that it was the improper work/repair/install that caused damage."

Not sure about the blacked-out beak, but I do like the grill inserts.

Also, only 1 car sold in Canada in January!

Those grills look reminiscent of fast and furious... Hurl.....

I could tell a story of the countless amounts of times I've seen a vehicle come in with some door lock issue only to quickly determine that recent collision repair on that door was the cause because the body shop forgot to simply plug in a connector.

But this... This is even better since it's the car in question.

"American Honda's engineers have determined that the Power Drive Unit failed because it overheated. The unit has a cooler but airflow to it was restricted because of the aftermarket grilles that were installed."

Or something like that.

"The Headlight System Failure message is on because the body shop turned the ignition on with the headlights disconnected and they don't have the proper scan tool to clear the fault from the control unit. So would you like to pay the labor charge, or will your body shop be paying?"

I could go on and on.

The Update:

Never heard the NSX Specialist laugh so hard as when he heard about the weapon arrest and then looked at the video. He had not heard about this or the nice 700 mile road trip of MA review.
Following up on the NSX at Thermal for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s introduction event, he mentioned it at a meeting and no one at Acura had any idea about an NSX being there.
They do not know how customers will be informed that GPS maps should be updated per the 5 years of no charge updates for NSX owners.
The tech bulletin about transmission buttons sticking because people are eating/spilling crap in their cars is generic (issue has not been seen in an NSX)
They knew about the repainted car, it sounds like the buy has some broken parts he was asking for help on.
A high profile owner had his car wrapped and they are trying to get pics of that.
The recent crash repair estimate came in at 80% of value. One issue is the buyer paid a market adjustment when he purchased the car. He wants to order a new car, so he may be waiting. Nothing decided yet but I am betting on a Civic with the heart of an NSX in the near future.
Test drives will happen. Acura realized that the I don't need to see or drive the customers before buying have been used up. They will star the program in CA using company owned cars. Dealers will need to identify good leads and sign them up fro a drive at a date/location that Acura will choose. May roll out more broadly after that.
I discussed the McLaren Beverly Hills point that 2/3s of buyers are not car guys. He agreed and mentioned one lady ripping them a new one for not offering purple leather. This is exactly what I am saying about rich folks wanting what they want. They don't care about the price (up to a point). I keep going back to my B School professor who said multiple times, there is a lot of money to be made by people who will just give me what I want. The NSX Specialist felt that corporate culture may be behind the lack of choices, and also where the car is shown (ex. Sundance where the 2/3s that aren't car guys hang out).

some are likely multiple lists of the same car....btw there are fewer and fewer threads about the new car:rolleyes: and I for one enjoy the feedback and updates from our gen 2 owners.....even a long timer like me is not privy to the private section, so lets try to engage them rather than disengage them....

out of curiosity i just took a quick look. found one duplicate (same car, same dealership, same price, same colour) ad for two blue cars in Tampa, FL. and there appears to be another duplicate ad in Columbus, OH. of a car with zero description listed at $156,900. and another zero description duplicate in Akron, OH.

there are two red cars in Fayetteville, but they are differently configured and with two different VIN numbers about 200 apart.

several dealerships have two or more cars, with different colours and options at different prices, but these are obviously not duplicates.

so the corrected figure is 199 NSX's for sale on Cars.com then...
