Unofficial Ferrari-Style/F1 Exhaust Thread

Here is another perfect exhaust for me:

Re: F1 soundmuffler VERSION 2 ?!

Paul,

There are several versions of the F1 sound, each sounding progressively better than the last, the 'current' version is the v5.1, which I posted on page 1 - this features either dual, or quad, tips.

Unfortunatly mine is off the car now, as I am in the final stages of installing my HP turbocharger kit (with magnaflow).

I am aware of that, except in my preference, it seems that this version has just the right sound. Must be how the 6 cylinders feed into one chamber, dunno. But i'll re-check to make sure.

In case anybody is interested, GT-ROM does do custom work. They responded that they can the secondary exhaust tip.

while lookin', I saw this

This idiot has too much money and not enough brains! Looking like a wreck trying to find a place to happen.

I kind of like the sound of this car - probably because I'm putting the same engine in my race car:

And a bunch of multiple passes....I especially like the resonance/growl he gets at the 20 second mark as he is coming towards the camera. Who says a rotary can't sound nice......makes my pecker stiff ;)

Then because I'm the VP of the local club of these cars I have to include them in the "Best Sounding" car catagory. If only I could make the NSX sound like this.

Those FD videos SUCK. Talk about poor editing. The 2nd one was HORRIBLE. Talk about hitting repeat over and over and over and over and over, annoying. I couldn't get past how much the editing sucked to even noticed the sounds.

Don't like the straight pipe CGT much. Reminds me too much of the idiots driving around downtown trying to scare pedestrians. Sounds good with a real muffler though.

I installed an ARK DTS lightwieght system w/ test pipes. Many people think it sounds like a ferrari. I believe the sound is a unique exotic pitch. I put together a video to show what it sounds like under normal driving, aggresive (7000 rpm), w/ stereo on, and briefly cruising at 3,500 rpm 40 mph.

Guys no offense our cars will never sound like the 355.:frown: I looked into every exhaust before making my purchase for the ARC( titanium), very high end exhaust in Japan. Even heard the gt-rom 5.1, and not even close to an F1 sound, sounds more raspy than anything. I feel this is do to our displacement, not a mechanic so I can be wrong about that, but it would great if someone can produce some parts to have our car sound like the 355. Frank

a ferrari sound and a F1 sound are two different things.

My GT-One F1 muffler Version 4 sounds nothing close to a Ferrari

but at WOT it sounds like it feels like your ear is slammed to the surface of a Formula One race track

Do you have any sound clips of the version 4 by any chance? Thanks, Frank

in the videos, it's loud

but in person, it's __________ "fill in the blank" LOUD :)

+1  5.1

speaking of loud... got pulled over by a cop today.. the first words out of his mouth were "Why is your exhaust so loud? I have one of these and it ain't this loud!" I'm thinking my exhaust is not louder than 99% of the civics on the road... nor is it louder than any of the NSX's in this thread... so he decided to "cut me a break" and only write me up for no front plate   easy fix it ticket... what a waste of my time.

Thanks. Frank

please note that titanium and stainless steel emits 2 different sounds

stainless steel is more higher pitched/raspy from what I've heard and other people's opinions who have owned one

and titanium which I have is a more deeper tone with some raspy.

I honestly think all aftermarket will have some raspyness in it
i think VTEC club vol. 5 best shows what they all sound like
