Too much suspension, too little knowledge

Nah not with a silver car....hm....green might be nice on silver..you could call your car the "snot":wink:

I think the silver booger would sound better :biggrin:

I have to add when i look at your picture, where is the spacers at the bottom mount, my custom Koni 2812 are like that too, and you should have some sort of spacers sandwiching the shock between the suspension arm bracket.

Can you explain this better? I don't know what you are talking about.

Front = 1,256 lbs
Rear = 971 lbs

:eek::eek::eek: OMG what have I done... LOL...

I did email you, twice BTW with no reply. I will try again.

Dave I was running 1000#/800# with my Comptech Pros and it's really not that bad at all.

Ugh I swear to god you are such a little b*tch:biggrin: You get one of the mother of all suspensions and what do you do "OMG what have I done , it's too much" whine whine whine. Man up b*tch!

Biobanker and I have the Toda suspension which are 12kg front and 10kg which is stiffer than the NSX-R 10kg and 8kg. Your b*tchstone is currently 3.5kg front and 4kg rear.

I live in Michigan so my roads are just as bad as your s, but your KW's have a larger tube so you'll have a smoother ride. I plan on getting the same set up you have.

Also I've heard conflicting info on the corner balance guys in that unless it's a pure race car the corner balance is a waste on a street car.

Dave install is really a breeze. I'm on my second suspension and install time is less than two hours. S2K suspension is tricky but NSX once you take off the cover up top it's three bolts at the top and one at the bottom. Turn a wrench b*tch:wink:

Dave, your set up may have awesome potential, but it will not be worth the headaches you will have trying to set it up properly. Plus, will you really benefit from it more than a much more basic set up?

My suggestion, Perry says that he wants your set up. Sell this to him and take the Todas. Ive been super happy with my Todas and best of all, install and set up is a breeze.

Going to have to disagree about the corner balancing. It's like a girl getting a set of fake boobs and not making sure they are both the right size. Not a big deal until you go to play with them.

If you do not have them corner balanced than the car may understeer on right turns and do something different on left turns..... if you buy a $2000+ suspension then having a one time $100-300 corner balance done when they are going to do the alignment anyway is not such a big investment. You don't have to redo a corner balance again unless you start playing with different springs or ride heights.

He means well Turbo ,but I didn't tell you to get it so I could have it later ( I just want your headers ..lol ). The Todas really are awesome and I plan to keep them for now.

Dave ( Turbo ) is always starting threads about tracking an NSX and saying he plans to get better so this is a great suspension that will carry him there. It's worth the price to have Billy or someone of his caliber ( I guess that would be "The Stig" :biggrin: ) to give you settings , but leave it where it's at first and see how it feels and let them tune from there.

I had a buddy who use to run RTA and got a set of KW's from him that Robispec had tuned and I kid you not I was battling an F430 and Vettes in my little S2K. I could only imagine what it would've been like to have had a similar KW set up in my NSX. Get it tuned bro and if Billy can't help you drop Robispec a line. Well set up suspension will bring that supercharger grin back to your face.

I've heard both sides. I still tend to agree with you but I'd adjusted the height twice on my Todas and was certain I'd screwed up the balance in doing so and when I took it in to e reputable local shop the guy looked at the scales then showed me the print out that it was almost damn near perfect and that any adjustments he made wouldn't see a noticeable difference.

I'm not saying Dave shouldn't and once he installs it himself ( like a real man ) he should definitely have it put on the scales to see where it's at.

I agree with the corner weighting....think of a four legged chair with all four legs in different lengths( thats when you buy and just throw it on without corner weighting them).....if you get the car corner weighted or set your base as they have said then you can make the adjustments from there at the track...ie adjusting the clicks.

I think for the average/ non pro racers a two way adjustable KW/JRZ is good enough or more than enough. Three way and four ways you are getting into race team level.

Good luck with that Purple and Gold Laker theme suspension.....even KW knows what team to root for ;).

Translation- Dave why don't we just trade suspensions and let me take that headache of a suspension off your hands.

"OH NO! This is all my fault!

When Turbo asked me about 3-ways, I thought he was asking about something else!"

Maybe a 3 way manwich? :eek::biggrin:

Bio's good about taking responsibility and doing anything for a fellow NSXer's except hopefully a three shot to the ass:biggrin:

HAHA!! This thread DELIVERS!!

1/2 the people are giving solid advice and 1/2 the people are calling him out!:biggrin:

True Love - NSXprime style.

P.S. I would do what Captain said in post #8. And - Definetly corner balance!

Yeah this is a sign you've been around Prime too long when everyone knows you personally and starts giving you crap.

They're all a bunch of jealous bitchez that's all.

+1 for corner balancing...

Billy is in the middle of moving to NC, so he may be offline line for awhile, but he will be back...

Cool - do you know what part? I'm in Columbia SC so maybe I can catch him sometime at CMP.

Dave
Concord-Charlotte area.

Cornerbalance your car. It will make the car handle and ride better and more consistently.

If there is no one available, atleast make sure the dampers are even right to left (measure the spring perch height with the car in the air). That will get you somewhat close and will be better than nothing.

If your in vegas, contact [email protected] to get a cornerbalance and or alignment.

Billy

Billy congrats on your 2nd place finish under caution in miami speedway and your other 2nd and 5th place finish.

Just watched it and was looking for you...man a lot of crashes in that race. Better than nascar action.

thanks! But we won the homestead-miami race under green while finishing 2nd under yellow at Barber and 5th at VIR after making an additional pitstop to fix a sticking throttle issue.

Stay up to date with my blog at Roushperformance.com or my website +which I need to update.

Don't be bashimg nascar too much now...

Why are you hinting that you'll be driving in it? :smile:

nascar is ok....not really a fan of it....i am sure in person its a lot better just like with anything else.

I like to watch F-1, ALMS, GT etc....not too much nascar

Hey did the ass douche ever put the damn suspension in??

Come on, get on with it. Track days are coming up quick!

So sad I'm not going to WGI this weekend... would have been perfect. Damn chores and responsibilities.

Are you going to MMC? which one? I suppose you are not doing the Ferrari event?
