The Official 2022 F1 Thread...

Just heard today that Honda is back in F1...kinda.

Because in 2026 RB will have a Porsche engine, and currently they are RB Powerplants (or whatever), so they will go back to labeling the motor a Honda motor so that when they switch in 2026 they will have a "new" engine supplier and get all the benefits.

Some other talk about Andretti teaming up with Honda for a full factory team. Wild rumors but who knows.

Bernie was always the entitled elitist Billionaire.....but supporting crazy bareback DNR Puken is ill-advised

Maxi pad is rock steady under pressure...sign of a champion

Oh my, Maxi pad, that's terrible, hugely funny, but terrible!.

Gasly caused the accident in turn 1 by trying to get between Zhou and Russell, when there wasn’t a big enough gap. Then Seb hit Albon hard from behind.
Tsunoda & Ocon also tangled up with Albon being spun round.
No serious injuries being reported at this time.

Did Russell move over w/out seeing Zhou?

Sky is talking about protesters coming onto the track at the original start.

Gasly hit Russell and spun him into Zhou.
Perez was nowhere before the safety car - he gained the most from it…
Hamilton would have likely been a step or two higher had there not been a bunching up of the field…

Best race for a very long time. I thought Russel moving over ever so slightly was the catalyst to kick off that accident but I think just a freak zero blame incident. The gravel traps are useless, they should have a ball pit instead, that would be better!
Hamilton certainly not getting much luck still with safety cars, he had the potential to get on a higher step, if we didn't get the SC.
Poor Max, freaky how bad his car was after a bit of floor damage. Wouldn't have been the same race for the viewers though, if he'd scampered off at the front like usual.
Great for Carlos to get his first win and MSC Jr to get his first points.
Tyres were rubbish and Seb needs to get his hair cut!!

That was fun to watch. Glad Zhou is ok because that crash looked horrific. Don't ever remember an F1 car flipping like that. Wish Russell was able to continue. He showed considerable class to someone that was involved in the same crash.

From what I've read, Max's car's floor had debris damage from Alpha Tauri. It blocked the flow of air, which is obviously the key component for downforce in these type of F1 cars. Kinda wish MSchu was able to pass him at the end.

There should be more tracks built like Silverstone....the last 10 laps were very exciting racing...These cars are built for smooth surface...Max needs 100% aero working or he cries.....LeClerc needed a little humble pie...and he got a fingerful....Lol Seb..looking more and more homeless...

Max from pole to flag. Alonzo car broke before the parade lap. Shummy and Lewis devices from well. Lewis experience and maybe a better car won the clean battle.
