Some of you may appreciate this

Wow, very impressive. I love the green color.

I don't think the car will be done this month, but probably by the end of next month. There is still alot of work to do and lots of top secret mods to be performed:) Sorry no pics today....I forgot my camera at home. Thanks to everyone for all the encouraging words.

Status Racing supplied me with a set of their carbon kevlar seats to try out in the nsx. here are some of the install pics. They will bolt to any side mount rail and have the same bolt spacing as a recaro seat. The model I used is a carbon kevlar Laguna with leather upholstery. The quality of these seats is quite excellent and one innovative feature I have not seen before is a bolt in stud that the side mount seat rail attaches to. On recaros there is just a nut glassed into the seat, you can see in the pictures below. The leather upholstery is very high quality and is perforated in some areas. My pics really don't do it justice. The seats are very light weight and stiff. In my car I wanted to mount the seats as low as possible so I chopped up the rails and re welded everything to get it as low as possible. This particular model fits the nsx extremely well, but the seat is narrow. They offer several other models that are not as extreme as this one. The red stuff you will see in the pics is fabric tape I applied to prevent scratching up the finish on the seat while I was mocking up the new brackets and attaching them to the slider. This particular model retails for $2495, but they offer several other models that are very affordable. you can choose from frp ,carbon or carbon kevlar on just about every seat and also red or black cloth, alcantara suede, or black leather. Status has authorized me to put together a group buy for nsxprime members, check out the vendor section for details

Did you get an original Sorcery kit or is this the Versus kit?

What kind of wheels are the silver 5 spokes you had on?

Ok so here are the lates updates, this first pic is the blitz supra intercooler that I will be installing in my engine compartment. Also all of the aluminum flat bar and rod that we will be using to build the mounting frame for the intercooler.

This is the bracket in the engine compartment that bolts to the top of the strut tower, its what the strut tower bar attaches to. I needed a place at the rear of the engine compartment to attach the intercooler mounting frame, so we fabbed up these ears and tig welded them to the brackets. Then welded 6x1.25 factory acura nsx nuts to the back. I will send the brackets out to be powder coated once the intercooler frame is done. Now I have stock looking mounting points at the rear of the engine compartment.

This last set of pics is the construction of the threaded weld pads for the intercooler. The ones that are on the intercooler now are spaced for a supra and need to be removed. We built 4 new ones out of 1" round stock and threaded them 8x1.25 so I can use factory nsx bolts. in the pics you can se the round stock in the lathe and then a completed pad before running the tap through to create the threads. More pics monday.

Here are the latest pics. We finished fabbing up the intercooler mounting frame out of aluminum. In the pics you can see the pieces being test fit and then tig welded together. The intercooler will bolt to the frame once the new weld pads are welded on.

Re: I would apreciate it if it were mine!

Am I looking at this wrong? An intercooler at the hottest place of the vehicle?

Good question. Myself I am wondering how the intercooler will be exposed to air circulation. Should there be any concerns regarding cracking the glass with high temps? How much hotter should it get back there compared to stock?

What a project though! Everytime I come to see this thread I just shake my head with amazement.

I think he'll be going with a lexan window with scoop

Intake air will fore sure be an issue, you probably haven't post the picture for your rear scoop right.... That looks like the front mount intercooler from the Supra, anyways, I think the intercooler is way too big which will cause you more lag on whatever setup you plan on doing.

You guys can all relax:) I am not going to be running the stock hatch. A vented lexan hatch is in the works, so don't lose any sleep over my intercooler setup:) Turbo lag will not be an issue at all, even with the size of the intercooler, but gosh thanks for your input dl-na1

Something close to this has been done with excellent results.
