Sounds good. How much was the header?

How much was the header?.... My right nut...lol I got a big price break, I ordered it from Ravspeconline, and they sold it to me for $2780 including shipping. The US MSRP was $3250, it is now $4000 after price increase.

Glad to hear you got it working Vance. How did you finaly resolve the CEL issue?

BTW $2800 shipped is an awesome price. The GT-One F1 is costing me more than this... I hope its worth it.

I was a little scared about dyno’ing my car today, because this was in an uncharted territory. With larger diameter piping, I suspect there will be lost in low-end power and torque.

However, the result matched my prediction. Below VTEC, I lost power. Above VTEC, I gained. Probably explain why the car felt faster when I downshift for acceleration.

Power:
Increased from 294 to 302. Most of the power arrives at higher RPM. I think the addition power could have obtained if we do couple more pulls. We did total of four pulls today, power started from 294 and climbed up each time.

Redline: From previous dyno without header and test pipe
Blueline: Today, with header test pipes and exhaust.

According to some, the ECU is learning the header and test pipe, so I should get more power later as well.

Above the 300 mark Vance, congradulations. Are these numbers SAE? How is the sound?

I don't know if it is SAE, I didn't ask. I'm sure some one on Prime will know, it's Autowave, a very well known place.

Additional NA power is hard to obtain...

Interestingly, I got 450 miles per tank, after I drove to Vegas and back for HIN. Locally, I got about 15 mpg... maybe because I have been driving like an @$$. The sound is addictive...

Hi Vance,

Congratulations! Autowave's dyno actually reads low so I'm sure you will see even higher numbers on a dynojet or dynapak. The sound was intense when you blew by me in Vegas. Very very nice setup.

Best Regards,

Danny

Dang, those are some nice mods. I wish I had that kind of dough to put into my car. I'm still saving up for some headers and a 60K service.

Got one right now, the other one is on the way... From Japan. Unfortunately, this is the NA1 Type R seat. I can't find any NA2 R seats.... Perhaps years down the road... I wonder if this is the only one in the country right now.

This was forwarded to me.
This is the dyno number for 360 Stradale on the same dyno system used to dyno my car...
graph_04_Stradale_302_2.gif

Compare to what I got. My NSX actually generate more torque!!!

Are F cars that far off? The Stradale supposed to have 425 to the flywheel, that's over 100HP lost!!! WOW! Hard to believe!!!

That cs dyno is way off...something must be wrong with it. cs dynos around 340's. I'd be very happy with your #'s, some ctsc don't even dyno that #

Over 300rwhp while staying naturally aspirated:eek:

That 302rwhp 360 CS dyno belongs to the moderator of Fchat (Dan360). F1 tranny vs 6spd. It is marketed as 425hp, states 409hp on owners manuals (Non Row catalyzed/RoW catalyzed version). Ferraries are well known to dyno low. Dynoed on dynodynamic doesn't help either. There are quite a few discussions/complaints on Ferrarichat. 20~25% drivetrain loss are considered normal. 360 Modena 300~320rwhp, F355s 275~300rwhp.

360CS Underpowered (RWHP) vs reg. 360 is this true?
Is my Stradale Engine really just a 360
360 CS is just not fast enough=========
stradale power?

It always surprises me that noone really complains about those drivetrain losses. Actually, I do not really believe that the powertrain of a Ferrari would be so badly designed it really looses that much meaning, in other words, that a Ferrari is overstating in reality the output of their engines.

Think about that, with 25% losses, it would mean than my stock NSX at 242 RWHP would have had a Much More impressive 322 HP in the manufactures brochure instead of the 275 Honda stated.

Looks to me that Ferrari is misleading people and even getting away with it.

I did not realise Ferraris were that pathetic power wise. Jeeze..you would think if you pay $200,000 for a car it would be fast lol. Are other exotics such as Lamborghinis and such also like that?

Also...really nice job on your car man. You need to now get a CTSC :) If you do, I really can't wait to see those dyno #s. Also, I should be sending you that payment this week.

Here are more Ferrari dyno numbers from the same place. Testarossa was really a disapointment. The regular 360 dyno' more than the CS.

I want those headers now  you car sounds wicked vance.....I remember it was loud that day........get the 3.8L stroker motor

Your car really is One Amazing NSX !!!

With that original Gan San NSX R suspension and your engine I am wondering what time Gan San might have achieved on the Nurnburgring.

Where did you get that front lower flat aero kit ?? It looks amazing to me. I made a Type R underbody spoiler from aluminum myself, but that kit looks much much better.

Also, could you tell me how wide that rear diffuser is.
