Awesome Vance! Now you need some professional shooting of your car with nice background!

Are you planning to protect your hood with a clear bra? I would hate to see any rock chips on your beautiful car!

Gosh, I wish Downforce is around my block!!!!

No one will ever top you on this one. I wish for a white one before I had to settle for a black one...

Peter at Downforce is great. He is very good about what he does, and I get to see the manufacturing process of the products I' bought.

I'm not sure about the clear bra, I haven't seen any good one around. MV design put a thick layer of clearcoat on the hood, minor scratches can always be buffed out.

This particular car is the first car I have ever modified. I have owned 8 Honda/Acura cars prior to this one... Never did anything to them.

My original plan was to make it look like a Type R, by replacing the spoiler, hood, and add the diffuser, but one thing led to another, I ended up buying all the JDM NSX R Performance parts I can find... It was addictive, kinda put me into some financial holes. It is a good thing I have a flexible retail business with decent amout of inventory to back up this insant project. At the moment, I still think it is worth the trouble; however, be honest with you, I much rather go back to my old hobbies, play my trumpet, and pain animation cels... Life was much simpler 5 months ago...

It will be nice to have a nice photo shoot. When I'm done with it the head lights and side markers, I may just do that. Some one ask me if I want my car to be feature in publications... I'm not sure if it is worth the trouble. It is after all, has a stock look. SerialNSXer and RyanITV did a better job to make their cars more like a Type R, even though you can order the car in any color in Japan, but white still has the nicest presence.

The sad thing is, after installed these nice parts, I don't really like to drive my car that much any more. I absolutely admire the car's beauty (not just my car, but every NSXs out there), and love to see it parked on front of my store, but my business is on Main Street Huntington Beach in California... too many drunks out here at night, don't want my car damage in any way by them. There was once and DUI drive with a full size chevy truck smashed into one of my customer's 350Z, pin it to a light pole, and almost split the car into half, it was not a pretty sight...

Other concern is, if I ever crash this thing, I may not be able to replace partial parts such as suspension/wheels. It was hard enough to get them as a set, I'm sure it will be impossible to replace just one part/section...

It is kinda sad, I love driving this thing...

Same thing started happening to Ryan and he ended up selling his:frown:

I wonder how long before you and Turbo2go sell your NSX's:frown:

I'm going to keep this car as long as it fits my wallet. I wanted an NSX since 1989 when I saw the prototype in a Japanese magazine, took me 14 years to buy a used 95, and now this 03. I think the sentimental value is too great for me to give it up. After, my childhood hero Ayrton Senna was a big part of this car's develpement, not only he help develope the car, but also used it as his daily driver.... I have driven some high performance car in the recent years, including Gallardo and 997 CS; NSX may be out dated in some way, but it still felt more special. Perhaps it was more based on sentiment....

RyanITV had a neck injury, the NSX with R suspention was just too hard to deal with. The ride is too stiff as a daily cruiser. He could have put the original suspension back in to make it live-able again, but I'm sure by having a 06 Z06 have some thing to do with his decision...

I hope that's a long time and that you drive it more. You've done too much to let it sit.

I didn't know that about Ryan ,because in his post about making the conversion after he was done he said he was just to nervous about something happening to the car so he would rarely drive it. Ride on the Z06 must be fairly stiff as well.

Well i for one have learned a lot from your conversion posts and the info you've given Turbo2go ( i.e NA2 to NA1 exhaust conversion ). So I say thanks for all your contributions to the group.

I also have to ask.....what the heck are you doing up this early in the morning it's like 5am currently your time and you statred posting before this reply? LoL

Holly crap, Vance just got the NSX R seat. It is unreal. I can't believe how comfortable they are, they are better than the the OEM seat. It is so freakin' light - I picked it up with just one finger... Wow, I hate him:biggrin: He's my bro, and I can't figure out where he got all the shit for his car. I didn't know he's that well connected. Too bad my G35... never mind.

Fujitsubo NA1 NSX Header. The construction is incredible, nothing else out there is better. Now with GT-One V.2 Titanuim high flow exhaust and test pipes.

That just sounds...amazing!!! I've never heard a streetable NSX sound like that! As many others have said, incredible build up. you havent taken any shortcuts and the results are impressive.

You should match the Fujitsubo header with the Fujitsubo Ti exhaust. That's one 'complete' system.

Henry.
Fujitsubo Ti is 10 lbs heavier and more restrictive.

Those are huge pipings compare to regular NA2 oem or aftermarket (Comptech/Taitec/SOS/etc) headers. Lucky someone took pics, otherwise I would have never believe it.

That header & testpipes seems to be exellent  .
I heard/read aftermarket header's don't give so much power to NA2?
Can't wait to see dyno papers
Im loking forward to know more  .

(Im going to buy that also..later if it seems to be good)

Dang...Vance I was pretty skeptical of going to the NA1 system ,but wow you made a believer out of me:eek:

Vance your car is getting hotter and hotter!
power numbers please.

I'm back! Guys.

Fujitsubo product is simply incredible. The construction/workmanship is simply the best out there. Unfortunately, they raised the price by 30% last month....

When compare to DC sports, taitec, and Comptech header, the flex joints along sets them apart. Explained the price difference.

MrTed installed the header. He had to shave off a small corner to fit it. NA2 had uses different size bolts. Other than that small issue, the fitment was perfect. I took the car to a muffler shop for custom a test pipes. I called it Afghanistan special; the tech was a Afghanistan immigrants. They did a very clean job, and only cost me $150 bucks for the set.

There is no possible way to customize a cat converter for this header to work with NA2 exhaust, simply not enough space. So I will have to find a smog shop to pass me in two years.

The piping of the header is huge. The collection pipe is 60mm. The muffler shop had to expand one end of the pipes to make it fit property, so there will be no restriction when the exhaust enter the test pipes.

Power wise, I no longer feel the VTEC at 6000 RPM in first gear; from 4000 RPM and on, the car just accelerate like it’s being chased by Viet-Con. It pulls much harder than before, felt like the VTEC kicked in around 4G RPM. After 6000RPM, the engine rev even harder. The mid range torque increased so much that it reminded me of the Gallardo I test drove few months ago. When I went to Vegas last week for HIN, I accelerated from 80 to 145 mph, the car was going much stronger than before after 100 mph. However, below 3000RPM, I do feel some power lost. No joke, perhaps when I Dyno it next week, I will know the true number.

The sound is just absolutely amazing. Thanks to the GT-One Exhaust syetem, it is very quiet during idle and low RPM, but during full throttle, the sound increased so dramatically that you can hear it from a mile away. I can actually keep the sound level stock like by pressing the pedal lightly – under normal driving condition.

This header is truly a work of art. It is pricy, but it is worth every penny. I do like the exclusiveness. I only know one other Fujitsubo header in US, a NSXer in San Diego has it too on his NA1.

Few things left to do…

I found one Type R seat, all that myth about the comfort level… let me put it this way, it is more comfortable than the OEM leather seat, no joke! Another one is on the way soon to complete the set. I also have the real Type R gauge set coming in next month… Plus JDM Side markers and white headlights, I’m done. Perhaps TODA 3.5 will do, if I can find the cash…lol

Can’t wait….

Good to see you back Vance,

The headers are really amazing, work of art. The power is quite amazing too, I did a few rolling acceleration test on 1st and 2nd at 5000rpm twice each. The 2nd gear feels like it have twice the power available compare to first gear. Feels like V8 torque:biggrin: .

It was my first time driving the 6spd. The transition from redline 1st to 2nd is unreal, so crisp and smooth, then the rush in 2nd, a lot of power available in 2nd. No 3rd~6th gear tests due to speed limit.

The car feels so light and rock solid even with top off. The seat are really comfortable, I felt right at home.

I will let you test drive my next time:smile:, settle the cabin drone myth of GTLW, and you can see if you really need extra power. I ask you to do same rolling 5000rpm accelearation test in both 1st and 2nd.
