Save the Date -- July 29, 2006 -- Return of the River Run

ONE WEEK AWAY!!!!!

Thanks for the reply, Don.
Can someone forward me the where and when's for the event? I'm sure it went out with the formal registration, but since never registered because I could only make it for the meet and part of the drive, I never received anything. A quick list of the meeting place(s) and approx. times would be great. I see that there is an caravan coming down from CT/NY..... NICE.
I've got my Nikon and a new 1gig card ready to go. Think that will be enough?

BTW, if there is any type of fee for the meet, I'll be more than happy to pay it. Thanks.

Meet, greet and group photo at 2pm at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village.

Depart Westin at 2:30pm for a 60 mile drive
If you stay for the entire drive, it will end in Hopewell

I'm sorry, but I am going to have to bow out of this. Some things came up and a few days away will not help matters or fit into the schedule now.

Hope to meet you all at another time. Sorry if this causes problems, Don.

Phil.

She's probably going to end up having to work. That's part of the conflict. But she was looking forward to going. As was I.

Have fun everyone. Be safe.

No problems what so ever. Sorry to hear you can't make it Phil. Hope to see you at future events. Don

I'm soooooo relieved that everybody had a great time. Being the first event I ever hosted, I didn't know what to expect and was very worried that I had either forgotten something or something would go terribly wrong (like losing half the cars on the first turn!). But the weather gods gave us great weather (albeit a little hot) and a few missed turns made it feel just like any other drive we have.

It was great meeting new faces and seeing my beloved old ones (not age based). Even better I had the pleasure of meeting many of the significant others for the first time (Nancy,Mary,Lisa...).

Many thanks to Chuck and Alan who assisted in the planning. Fernande did an outstanding job making sure we were all identified! And my friend Andrew who snapped those great photos.

I am still giddy with excitement thinking about how great yesterday was.

Many thanks to Alan, Roberta, Peter, Sylvia, Bob, Lisa, Tony, Bags, Roger, Nancy, Steve, Libby, Keith, Mary, Larry G and Gene for coming to see my show and refraining from throwing the rotten tomattoes that were stewing in their trunks all day.

How about the Lotus Dealership? Wasn't that an awesome place!

And finally thanks to Roger for planting the sead of the Lebentritt Leap which gave me the push I needed to bring back the River Run. Jeese I feel like I just won an award am I giving the Thank You speech.

The one thing I did forget yesterday was my camera. Thanks for pictures!!!

Best regards,
Don

Don, great job - both on the event & the show. Wonderful seeing everyone. These events always seem like a (good) family reunion to me.
Keith

Damn, just when I thought I could really give The Don a "blast", he goes and says something nice. Nancy said that I couldn't throw tomatoes as she had such a great time. The organization of the event was superb, the route scenic and a nice ride, the Lotus dealership had some outstanding cars to look at, the food was good and abundant, the people great and even the show was totally enjoyable. Don, the only thing missing yesterday was "The Original Don", Bags had some good sax, Bob had 3 deserts, and we all had a great time. Thanks!!!

Many thanks to "thedon67" for arranging such a fabulous event!
OUR instructions were to "lose half of the cars on the first turn"! ;-))
Were we the only ones with those instructions?
This is one fantastic group of people and everything was perfect...
the cruise, the trip to the Lotus (Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious)
dealer and ooooh those sexy Astons.
Sorry we were unable to stay for the show, but enjoyed the dinner
and get together.
Look forward to next years event!

Bob just posted a picture of me, my corvette, the band and my lady friends. For those you didn't attend, you missed a great performance and RSO34's acting debut!

Looks like a wonderful time. Sorry I missed it. I can't wait to see that many NSX's in one place:smile: .

Don, I wanted to ask where you and your band got the carbon fiber shirts and why you didn't have one as a door prize? Maybe next time!!
