PROCAR SPECIALS NA1R carbonfiber hood project

Well, after 10 months of hard work , Procar Specials introduce the new NA1R cf hood in 2 specs.

Some more informations:
Its the lightest (and probably best) hood at the market, weight is 4.0 kg (8.8 lbs)
The fitment is 100 % like the original Honda hood, the air outlet part is a 1:1 conversion from the OEM NSX-R NA 2 hood.
The Procar and OEM NA2R hood screen (price 500 USD) will fit and is available too.

As new project we wanna introduce the headlight covers in exposed carbonfiber until end of the month. They are in production now.

The Procar hood can be ordered in 2 versions:
spec 1.1 buttom side is exposed carbonfiber, top side for painting
spec 1.2 both sides are exposed carbonfiber

We have this hood in spec 1.1 (No 01) for sale now, price is 3.500 USD.

good god.... *drool* .... detlef you hands down produce some of the greatest CF products i've ever seen. (as a former owner of detlef's nsxr wing) i have to say this stuff is stunning on or OFF the car....

Nice car!
Two thumbs up.

I guess you are really into a serious weight loss program for your NSX.
May I suggest you change your pop-up headlight with the 2002 model? I guess it would save quite kgs when you get rid of the headlight motor.

Cheers,
Taffy

Nice work! Amazing finish on the carbon fiber items.

I know carbon fiber is your specialty, but have you made any progress on your brake upgrade project? There really isn't a solution out there for upgrading to the larger 97+ NSX brakes, other than buying a whole set of new calipers just for the brackets.

Just curious.

Thats right. We couldnt decide to do that, the old front style has a special charme and we havent finished the air duct until now.
BTW, we have the same weight as the actual NSX-R now.

We decided to change the original NSX-R front brake kit, which is much better as the standard kit, to a bigger and better special kit.
The total kit is lighter than the standard kit.

We have installed as OEM parts:
NA1 brake caliper adapters !
NA2 NSX-R calipers (OEM standard)
not necessary because the NA1 calipers fit too

and as special kit:
330mm AP rotors with special hubs (2piece kit)
special adapter to fit with the OEM calipers and OEM adapters
special screws
NSX-R brake pads or Ferodo DS 2500 modified

This kit was developed in germany and is the best one we have tested.
Now we can brake as hard as a Porsche GT 3 without any fading.
3 fast laps at Nürburgring Nordschleife are no problem.

2 mm distance from the out side of the calipers to the inner side of the rims are enough, no spacers are required..

Some impressions:

2 Questions for ya.

1.Do alot of people buy all of these CF parts?

And

2. WHERE AND HOW did you get that engine?

you would wonder how much parts we sold the last 12 years, but especially
the last 3 years.
We started with the cf fender scoops, the last finished project was the
NSX-R diffusor and the frontlight covers.

We have sold 69 carbonfiber spoilers until now. Think we can be very proud.

You have to know that we don’t do that as main business….. so we dont have to live from and can stay independent, even if there is always people who do copy our ideas and parts, as the last months showed.

This was the result of a good partnership between Detlef from Procar and Honda R&D. Since they started using the Procar cf parts like hood, spoiler, airbox, fender scoop and rwg at their NSX-R racecar, (the new diffusor and some other parts will follow), we can get all what we want.

We have a direct access to all NSX-R parts, but you have to know that the part prices in europe are higher than in your country.

We always have an NSX-R engine and gearbox into our stock.
