Hey Chris
Had a favor to ask, getting ready to order an 02 valence and tail lights....my wife was asking what it will look like....well since you already have sebring silver I was hoping you could send me a couple of different pics (different angles) of the rear of your car?

Would greatly appreciate it!

Danny

The final touches on my 6 speed conversion. Bryan (I1O101I) came over today (Christmas) and help me change the oil and wash the NSX. We also installed a SOS short gear stalk and a Honda NA2 NSX-R Titanium Shift Knob.

I am thinking about more adjustment to my suspension. I currently have Tein RE with 10k/10K springs. It handles really well on the road, but I haven't got to track my Car with this setup yet. I need to rise the NSX about 1" higher, so I need to get another alignment and Corner balance again.

Or I am thinking about the Procar spring kit w/25.1 lbs or NSX-R OEM suspension w/62.7 lbs. (no more adjustment)

I like how the Tein RE with Procar kit looks and the additional weight saving is nice but if you don't mind the lifted look I'd go with the NSX-R setup. Can't beat what mother honda cooked up! Did u do the ABS yet?

The cup holder and the pocket (my cell phone holder) at the bottom of the shift boot is part of the center panel. It was done by Chuck Hamly at Myer-Emco, stereo shop here in Northern Virginia.

Like the cup holder and the cell holder. One question, when a water bottle is in the cup holder, does the water bottle get in the way when you shift?

The cup holder only works on long drives, I feel like a retard with a water bottle downshifting on the highway.

The cupholder works perfect for can diet Coke, still working on weight reduction.

Mainly I use it to hold spare change. I idea was cool at the time but it is not practical for spirited drives.

Wow, what a beautiful NSX. I just realized that you live 30 minutes away from me! I don't own a nsx yet, but hopefully one day we can meet up and do some type of photoshoot. Thanks for sharing what parts will be needed for the bumper and lights conversion. Is there a link where it shows the pricing for each part number? I'm not familiar with Acura/Honda parts, but I know that for BMW, they have www.realoem.com where they share all the pricing for each part.

Chris

I saw your post about my car with the OEM lip painted. If you do it, don't scrape against anything and it will limit the driveways you can go up if you want it to stay perfect. Mine is really badly scraped but my car isn't a showcar so I don't mind.

Anyway, love your car. Your car is an inspiration for a fellow Houston Sebring owner who I thought would not do another mod besides his CTSC. ;)

After seeing this pic, I think the matte black version of the LED taillights still would look good. I posted some more daytime pics in that thread of what the matte black ones look like.

Chris,

Just wanted to add a big thanks for your efforts in educating the NSX community in terms of issues faced while doing your +02 conversion. :)

I'm in the process of finishing off mine this evening and we've run into headlight fitment issues and I believe its because of the levelling part and/or we are missing the Downforce Headlight Brackets? I've grabbed print outs of your photos and will diagnose it this evening when I return to the shop.

You rock! Thanks again!

P.S. I would have posted pics of the entire process but I'm way too impatient!

Any chance he'd consider doing more of those?

Let me know if you need to know anything else about the conversion.

Post pictures of your 02 front end conversion when you are finish.

Chris -

Thanks buddy..

Wow...should have listened to you guys and went with an OEM bumper! I'm not bashing Downforce here as the paint quality was superb on the parts, etc. but the bumper is not fitting using the new brackets and won't align to the headlights.

So...

We had to add 3 spacers to the headlight brackets supplied by Downforce in order to get the headlights to fit flush with the bumper. Instead of keeping that as an option we are custom making new brackets this evening as I don't want bouncing headlights and a poor fit. Following your suggestion we cut the frame to accomodate the light leveler and that was a breeze.

My Carbon Fiber Type R hood was damaged in shipping so we've had to fix the corner edges near to the windshield and will have it painted this evening as well. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures by Thursday (our anticpated time to finish the project).

This is definately a major undertaking and I hope future enthusiasts read this thread carefully to understand the issues one might face. Overall I'm pleased I've been able to read this thread and get help.

Pictures will be posted in a new thread by Thursday or linked here.

Thanks again Chris!

He no longer works at Myer-Emco but Mark and Chris still do allot of NSX in the NOVA area, I can go by there and see if they would customize your center console.

Also this is a nice way to pull in the oem front rubber valance ( I think that's what it's called )
I had a Cantrell Concepts Ducted Front Spoiler and a Downforce 2002+ Sports Front Spoiler and sold them, because I alway rub my front spoiler. I can't find pictures of the DF spoiler.

Thanks man that would be great! Yeah my coil over set up is pretty low for track so I can't imagine using anything ,but the OEM piece.
