Pics of my Sebring Silver 02 conversion

Sounds Great but what made u choose this setup over the 4.44 Os Giken? just curious

Jermaine,

I wanted the OEM Honda parts for now, If I am not happy with it I could switch to the OS Giken 4.44.

I was not sure I would like the noise for the OS Giken at low speeds driving around town so that is another reason I went with the NSX-R 4.23.

I have never driven and nsx with the 4.23 but my car has 4.55 setup and I love it.. I think for normal street driving u made an excellent choice.. I was reading another thread on here about the noise and I think they found away to kill the noise all together.. I was wondering have u had a chance to hear how loud the noise is or drive one with that setup? thanks for the information Chris I love the detail pictures of your conversion. It will be a good reference when I start mines..

I really like the 5 speed JDM short gears with the 4.23, so the 6 speed would be a plus. There are a few guys here with 6 speed and 4.44 OS Giken (AK and John McCain Racing), I really have not listen to their setup at low speed, I see them at the track and everything is loud there.

I will ask Ak to drive his NSX may be this weekend.

Driving his car would be a great Idea..let me know how it sounds when u do..

Finally I got my 6 speed transmission install yesterday:biggrin: , but the Comptech lock out box is not working:mad:

My NSX feels allot faster with the shorter gears and the 4.23 final drive. I haven't had the chance to push it really hard yet. I will be able to drive it hard at Summitt Point on October 20, 2007.

Curtis at Asian Imports did the installation of my clutch and transmission. I am very happy with his work, anyone needs their NSX worked on in the MD, DC and NOVA area you should give Curtis a call.

Big thanks to Curtis at Asian Imports for the super fast install. The car is a bit quicker from the start now with the 6 speed with the 4.23 final drive. Now all the car really needs is some new shoes and will be ready for the track at summit point.

Another note on the comptech lock out box. we called SOS about the box not working that we got from them and we found that the wires on the connector broke off. Chris NSX and I fix the wires by going to the dealer to get the new pins and wires to sader back on the comptech box harness. We hope it fixs the problem and will be testing out the box later today.

Looks ready for the track! :D

I will be at Summit Point on October 20, 2007. Sorry you can’t make it, because you are getting married. What ever change after marriage, keep your balls and demand the NSX stays.

See you at the track next year, before you start have babies.

Its Very easy to install. I also did my ABS unit upgrade over the winter if u have any questions chris about the install PM me

Good luck with your project

Chris paint it red  Just kidding.

Chris,
Hi, I'm new to the forum but love your car's looks. Can you tell me whether your Work Emotion wheels are bolted on as is, or did you use spacers or have to machine the hub faces of the wheels at all? I like the placement of your wheels relative to the fender lips and want to get the same look on mine. I know the offsets of your wheels (F+47, R+38) and can apply those numbers to other wheels but I want to make sure your offsets haven't been changed (by adding spacers or with machining). Thanks,
David

The offset of the wheels are +47 fronts and +38 rears. I did not used any spacers it bolted right on, but I do have Brembo Big brakes that adds 5mm due to the rotors hats.

I have hear some people said that their rears rub on the calipers and they need 3mm spacers, but I did not need any thing. I would call SOS or Comptech just to be sure.

I've been waiting for some feedback on this mod. How do you go by testing this mod? How do you know if it's any better than the old abs system?

Henry.

Hello Chris. May I ask where you got those head lights with angel lights. They look very cool. Thanks!!

Peter

Contact Mike at Clear Corners, he is a very good guy. (323) 201-2713 or PM him at old_S13

The OEM headlight was modified by clearcorners. http://clearcorners.com/products/acura/nsx1/h_lamp2/ The headlight assemble look just like a stock OEM headlight except for the clear indicators and the rings around the HID projectors.

Thanks for the kind words and the compliments guys. Just to clear up some confusion, the base price for the conversions actually start at $1125.

Keep up the nice work (and the good pics!). ;-)
