Wow you are really slowing down. Took you 1 hour and 23 minutes to post this?
I figured you were recuperating from surgery.
Although any surgery on you would only be microsurgery.......

2014 is "on hold" awaiting further input from Honda/Acura. It is no secret that the new NSX (should it actually go into production) will be made in Ohio so that should give enough of a "hint" about what 2014 hopes to be about.....
Out of deference to American Honda and Acura, as of right now we would be looking to take bids for 2013 and 2015 until further notice......
Actually, the attendance of people this year was similar to other NSXPOs in recent years, with the exception of 2010. The number of cars was down a bit; in most years the number of cars is around 60-65 percent of the number of people (a few people fly in, but most drive, some solo and some with a companion), whereas this year it was around 45 percent. The only difference this year is that the share of people who flew to the event was significantly higher than in previous years. This is undoubtedly a function of the distance of Denver from major cities with large populations of NSXs and owners. When NSXPO is held in most cities, it draws not only locals, but lots of folks who drive no more than half a day to the event. There just aren't a lot of NSX owners within a half day's drive of Denver, other than locals. So as a result, there were more who came much longer distances, and more who did so by air.The attendance of NSX's on ground seemed really low.
Those of us who were there had a great time, regardless of whether we drove there or flew there.
Like I said before would love to be a member and read the magazine but not having it available in digital format is crazy.

is this magazine issued monthly?
roughly seasonaly or quarterly. It can vary by member provided content.
Do I understand that there has been a venue already selected for 2013? That's what I just heard.
Nothing finalized but seeing if something will work at the moment.
Stay tuned...........
Excited to hear!
So if something is eminent for 2013, and 2014 is being "placed on hold" for the possibility of Ohio, it will be three years before another region could host NSXPO?
If next years event is already being approved with in 30 days of this years event, I guess we'll have to get our things in line in order to submit for 2015. Or are we behind the curve already for 2015?
Sounds like anyone who wanted to create a committee and submit a proposal for NSXPO could do so at any time; it could be approved for 2015, with the possibility that it could be moved up to 2014 if Ohio falls through for that year. And 2015 is available right now with the foregoing being kept in mind.
You are wrong so consider yourself corrected..........
I have now been to 12 NSXPOs in a row - every one since 2001. Each one has been enjoyable and they are what the membership makes them. Over the last 12 years of NSXPOs we have had 9/11, war, the real estate bubble burst, bank failures, gas approaching $5 per gallon, credit card interest rates of 29% while CDs pay less than 1%, high unemployment and demographics whereby people come on here looking to buy an NSX for under $20,000.
We have had to scale back attendance expectations at multi-day events such as NSXPO while trying to increase the enjoyment factor for the smaller numbers who do choose to attend. Such is the way of the world in this economy where our pool of potential members is limited by the number of NSXs still on the road (a number probably in the low 6000s range).
We do not have the numbers of other car clubs because we do not have the production numbers such as Porsche, BMW, Corvette and other brands that may produce more cars in one year than Acura/Honda did during the entire run of NSXs. For example, less than 9000 NSXs were sold in the United States between 1990 and 2005. In 2011, there were 29,023 new Porsches sold - in that year alone.
We benefit from a very passionate albeit smaller community than virtually any other car club. We have learned over the years that we do not need 1000 cars to show up for an event for it to be successful. We have also learned that NSXPO needs to be rotated throughout the regions to give everyone an opportunity to be able to attend. That necessarily results in higher attendance in certain areas but success is not measured by shear numbers of attendees - rather we base success on whether the members who do choose to spend their hard earned dollars on an NSXPO feel they received value for that expense.
I admit that I am more than a little biased but I feel I have a right to express that bias - - - I have been to 12 consecutive NSXPOs and the friends I have made over the years at such events have resulted in my NSX ownership being one of the best investments I have ever made.
At your first NSXPO, you make a bunch of new friends. After that, each year you'll see old friends and make still more new ones. Fun!This was my first NSXPO, and it was grand! Local support was incredible, the location was breathtaking and what a great excuse to drive the NSX for an extended period of time!
The people I was able to meet first time, whose posts I'd been perusing, as well as the track hounds after the event.
