HMMM trade for a BBSCed car, careful you'll be blacklisted before you know it. :D But you would be in the best of company.

Where do you get the OEM hood anyway?? How much are they?? I am curious what actions you could take if the OEM hood arrived damaged??

Well, I will hold off for now on where mine came from. They cost about 8-9 grand from Honda. I paid 5 grand for mine. I am sure insurance will cover any damage. I do have it arraged to be flown to Nashville TN from overseas. So air freight is less likely to see damage.

My Taitec hood didn't need any TLC - it was mounted right out of the box. Of course you have to live with the fact that the underside doesn't look like the upper side but that's a question of costs. OEM NSX-R hood looks surely better from both sides and I'm pretty sure you can expect also a better finish from the Procar Specials hood (If it's the same quality as my Procar Specials rear wing).

if you know someone in japan who can get parts. even people in europe or dealerships in europe and japan. if it arrived damage, i dont know it depends on where you get it from. i know i kid who used to live in japan that has his friends who live out there send him alot of jdm itr and ctr engines ,front ends, suspension, wheels to him all the time. just need someone you can trust. i bought a jdm itr trans off of him for my integra. everything went fine

So, if you can help I would appreciate it. If you have a picture of a carbon fiber one on a white NSX, I would love to see it. Thank you!! :D

It isn't carbon fiber, but close enough to what you're requesting for :)

The hood his now color-matched with the rest of the car but those pics were from the day before it got painted. For me personally, I like the clean OEM look :)

The 1th prototype is in production and will be tested next week. We have had some delay in production because the limited editions of NSX-R spoilers and airboxes camed first. This week I will get the OEM NSX-R hood back. We plan to start the NSX-R hood sales in beginning of december. I will post pictures and prices if all is prepared.
See entry #19 on this thread with photos.

Thank you very much. It helped me decide that I will paint my hood white as well. You are right...the clean OEM look is the way to go.

Maybe its worth to wait

Might be worth wait but not the money, at least not for me.

PS The bumper was loose and not yet aligned in that picture, and the rubber gasket had yet to be installed.
