This is REALLY starting to look great!! Looks like the track day will be a go!

As far as I know the track day will include 3 20 min sessions with 2 groups. (Novice and Expert)

Can we put you down for the track day Moses??

Not to sure yet, need to change my reservoir, inner tie rod, and oil by then. Plus I have some heavy wheels on my car at the moment. What exactly do I need for the track (ex. helmet?) and how much is it coming out to for everything so far?

You definitly want your car to be safe for the track but I wouldnt worry about your wheels. You probably wouldn't have enough track time to notice the difference.

You should also think about a set of hawk hps front pads or carbotech's. You can get them from SOS. But then again if this if your first time im sure you can get away with stock pads.

All you need is a helmet if you have one, otherwise they will provide one.
You also need to wear jeans or some type of pants.

If you and kelly jump on board it could get real close to $100 maybe even less!! More people the better.

:eek:Im willing to pittle around(charity lap) on the track but im SURE i don't want to go balls out and race. :biggrin: With my luck i'd go off the track and be driving around with no front bumper!!!!!!

Just for the track day.

I think we have enough people!!!! We look to have 13 for sure and 15-16 with the people that can't decide. We are looking at about $100 a person right now so every person after this will help keep the cost's down.

I going to go ahead and tell Eric to pencil us in for Nov 22 (SUN) from 10 to 1pm. Is that aggreable with everyone?

Ok, thanks. Just trying to get the most accurate head-count, so I can plan accordingly in/around town for side-activities, goodiez, accommodations, etc'.

If my wheels are back from refinishing/refurb'ing, I'll likely engage in the track-outing too. I didn't want to commit & then not deliver.

hmm Blaine, you should be a salesman cause you are trying to reel me in with the track. I'm thinking about going with the S2. When do we pay? And what else is all needed to pass tech? If you gave me some more specifics, then I could let you know whether I'm in or not.

It's not that they are non-NSX but while a lower cost is nice, there is a point where too many cars will be a bad thing. Just food for thought.

on another note..
The track is relatively laid back, as long as you don't have parts falling off or fluids leaking you'll be fine.
 
I would just put the car on a lift and inspect it for leaking fluids and obvious concerns. Make sure you have good brakes as well and 3-4 32nds left on your tires. Bring a helmet if you have one and wear long pants.

I think just having the NSX prime members will do and if we need any more I will let you know.

(i) Ok... we're nearing my personal goal of 25+ NSX'ers, which will allow me to contact/solicit sponsors, vendors, businesses, dealers, etc' for some hook'ups. Remember, the more committed guys/gals we get, the better pitch I can make to these establishments & hopefully score better goodiez!

(ii) I had two bedrooms to offer for the weekend & they have been allocated. I may offer a gameroom-couch (or bring-your-own-air'mattress). If any other Greater Austin area NSX'ers have a spare bedroom or extra-space, hook-up an out-of-town NSX'er! Post what you got here. . .

(iii.) Let's amp this shiznit up, ya'hear! Get moarrr NSX'ers on the list. Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Mehico (:p), etc'- where'ya at?

Ok guys here's the word....


I talked to Eric this Morning and it going to be $1500 +taxes and $250 for insurance.That comes out to $1875 total so if we cap it at 17 people that will come to $110 a head. By my count we have 14 for sure so that leaves 3 slots!! If we don't fill them with NSX (which we should) I will open it up to others to fill it to 17. That will put 9 in one group and 8 in the other.

He said he is going to try to get 4 sessions per group pending that we can all be there at 10:30 sharp ready for the drivers meeting. Thats means we should plan to be there at 10am.

NSX's on the fence fill the 3 remaining slots!!!!!
