Raybrig GT500 side view. I still hadn't discovered decal softener yet. Built this one a few months before and the decals started to flake off in some areas....gooped on some Mr. Mark Softer when I discovered it and it actually saved the remaining decals.

I didn't know about CF decals yet so this was the color the instructions said to paint any supposed CF part. In this case, the rear diffuser.

Avec Dome Mugen GT500 front. I actually saw this car when I was at Motegi Twin Rings....I couldn't believe how much of this car was covered in Vinyl! The whole thing was a sticker and barely any of it was paint! That's when I realized whenever I'm builing a race car model, it is completely inaccurate to clearcoat over the decals....the finish should be lumpy and the decals should stick out, just like the real car....if you ever see a race car model where it's completely smooth, it may look cool, but inaccurate.

My NSX-R side view. This was also one of my earlier models. I stole the wheels from this car and put them on my silver car.....

NSX-R 3/4 rear view....looking back on this model, it was put together rather poorly.....I didn't mask the black parts (as you can tell from the front lip and rear valance)....also the decals are coming off.....I'll probably end up in my spare parts bin.

NSX-R seats. The tamiya kit doesn't come with the carbon kevlar decals for the seatbacks.....I stole these from two GT500 Skyline GT-R models.....when I butcher this model for parts, I'll transfer these seats to another model.

NSX-R engine cover. The tamiya kit got it pretty close. It's way better than the Kyosho NSX-R/type S engine cover, even though it's a smaller scale.

Silver side view - This model best represents my car about a year ago. My engine bay looks a bit different now, but other than that, it's pretty close. The problem with painted white parts (the wheels), is if you handle them too much, they yellow a lot.

Sebring Silver cockpit. Got my Momo Shuttle with NSX-R horn button.....hub adapter was ripped from a Fujimi kit as well as the steering wheel. The NSX-R horn button was just painted silver with a red H (done with a maginfying glass and a needle). The type S shift nob was made from that same pin! At the time, I took my stereo and had the NSX-R cf plate so I made one from left over cf- decalling.

I miss my red car. This was supposed to be a replica of my first NSX and I had it pretty close. But after I crashed it and got the silver car, I took the NSX-R wheels off it and put them on my silver model!
