I don't care who you are; Everybody likes to get a good deal on something whenever the chance arrives. On the other hand, I'm a firm believer that quality comes with a price. When it comes time to sell my NSX I can guarantee nobody will come to look at my car and say, "You know, I know you want $42K for it but wouldn't it just be EASIER if I just gave you $45K instead?" The truth in the matter is that if someone showed up with 40,000 one dollar bills in a suitcase and tried to insult my intelligence by lowballing me on the "love of my life" I would tell them they were 2000 one dollar bills TOO SHORT and to stop wasting my time.

I think the reason your wife is a "coupon nut" and buys all the little things around the house is because you are out there spending the rest of your household income on things that could have been found much cheaper if you had taken the time to shop around for a better deal. There's probably not much cash left for her to shop with.
I would say, unless you purchased your NSX brand new, then the reason you bought it used was because it was a "Better Deal" than buying a new one; Same car for less money. See! you're a bargain shopper and you didn't even know it.
