What do you all think? Just spent the last three days trying to make this as perfect as possible. It is reversible as I had a spare window. I am on a weight reduction rampage, what's next? Saved approx 30lbs.

Wow, a gimp mask for the NSX...that's new:biggrin:
I don't think it will do anything for aerodynamics when the speed builds up and it's bound to flutter loads....
You could always try it in red if you really want it...might blend in more?
Better off with the glass or lexan to smooth the line from the roof to the trunk....
I don't think that works at all. Can't think of anything else to say that wouldn't sound mean, and I don't want to be mean.
You should just get the lexan rear hatch if weight reduction is your goal. not only does it decrease your sprung weight, but since it is up so high it will lower the center of gravity.
You did quality work and should be proud of the accomplishment. You broke new ground and weather it aesthetically works or not is a personal choice. I wonder if it will flap around or make noise at 70mph. Will engine heat ruin the fabric you used? Is the fabric you used waterproof? Fireproof? UVA rated?
Take it out on the street and see what other non NSX people think about it.
+1 on lexan rear hatch for weight saving.
You more than likely increased drag with that rear hatch design.
The airstream would detatch from tue roofline at the sharp angle of your rear window. This steep angle would cause turbulence and increase drag. Its a similar concept to what happens behind almost every car but you are making another turbulent drag inducing section at the trailing edge of the cabin above the rear trunk. If youre happy with it dont worry about other peoples opinions. It wont make your car unsafe and burst into flames. Please comment more on the drag as it feels counter intuitive at this time.
I like the idea and have thought about it myself... not for weight, because I like they way the NSX looks with the hatch up.
I'd like to see VRoooM take a stab at this. I bet it would look wicked.
A curved Lexan piece would cost a lot of mulah! You've turned a nice looking Fighter plane design into a truncated chopped up mess. I'm sorry but I might as well tell it like it is. Unless you are out for some weight saving madness that virtually means little in terms of acceleration - guess you took the spare out too??? I would never do that to my beautiful NSX - that is one of the things I loved about my car - the black roof and that glass back there....really makes the look - imho. I can't imagine that you really like it? Do you really like it? Or are you after a conversation piece otherwise why would you do that? It makes so little sense in the overall big picture of mods. Got to be another way of making it faster....other than an SC or TC.
Please comment more on the drag as it feels counter intuitive at this time.
Wow.. is all I can say. Not trying to be an a-hole but I really don't like that at all.
Also, A/C? are you serious? That's a pretty big commitment all in the name of weight savings. I can see where this is going and you might not end up with much of a car once you're all done
Btw.. have you looked into the 02+ headlight conversion? How about the front and rear alum bumper beam mod? These seem more like sensible weight saving mods if you want to keep the car somewhat streetable.
Also, can you explain your avatar? lol... i'm sure many of us would like to know.
EDIT: Opps.. you said the headlights. You removed those too!
