Damn I'm craving crawfish right now

another crawfish on the barbee?!?

The Iron Chef w/ the secret ingredient being crawfish is one of my favorite showdowns! It's not that I'm all that keen crawfish, in-fact I try to avoid them as much as I can... I'm a prawns/shrimp guy! But the creativity and techniques demonstrated by the duelling chefs left me in awe...

Just had some yesterday! Right off the boat from the peir down the street!

I'll be in New Hampshire eating lobster next week to do a comparo.

No offense intended to anyone who likes them, but when/where I grew up, crawdads were bait, not food. Give me a crawdad to catch a nice flathead catfish and eat that, now that sounds good! :)

There is no comparison

Flakey soft white meat or spongy firm meat. I like both but when it comes to lobster I will take two small 1lb lobsters to a tough 1 1/2 lb. Problem with lobster is there so easy to over cook.

Since there was no crawfish, I went for lobster instead. I got a lobster clam bake.

I agree. They were out of the 1 1/4 lb lobster, so they substituted with a 2 lb lobster!!!

In this case more isn't always better. It was way too much lobster, and while the meat was still delicious, it did not satisfy my craving for soft, succulent crawfish meat.

Crawfish, I love you.

Dang Hardcore!!!!!!

As for lobster, broiled or grilled is always soooooooooo good. steaming lobster always seems to make it taste bland.

I actually prefer the steamed lobster over the other methods but like everything its all in the preperation that makes the outcome great.

2 losbsters 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 each
2-3 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup coarse chopped scaillion
2 preseved salted eggs
1 large egg
1/4 pound ground pork
1 table spoon approximately Fresh ginger sliced
Black beans optional.

Clean and cut lobster into pieces and arrange in shallow pan or dish and steam till lobster is just done.
