Still going?

Just stumbled on this thread. Anyone still going? I'd like to join in at some point. I have to teach a class until 1100 AM or so but could join up later. It would be nice to meet a few AZ NSXers.

Hey NSXpnsv! Yeah, we are still going. Some of the Phoenix people are not able to make it now due to the race at Firebird, but the drive is still on. We are going to the Biosphere first and having lunch up there. Then we are heading down to the Desert Museum through Gates Pass. You can probably meet up with us then. We would love for you to join us. TucsonNSX is also going to join us for his first drive.

It is always fun to meet new NSXer's! Let me know.

I've been meaning to get back to this much sooner, but have been completely swamped by work! ACK!!!

I am working on the drive route/map. We are planning to meet up for breakfast in the east valley, so those of you unable to make the drive can still join us for that (Yvonne, I was planning to get your CD to you then). The Tucson group can have a late, light brunch, and meet up with us at Biosphere for the tour & lunch.

Then we will follow the Tucson tour guides for a scenic drive to Desert Museum/Gates Pass, and hang around for a group dinner. If I don't have anything urgent to return to in Phoenix, I will try to stay for the night (it would be great to romp around in Tucson again, especially with NSXs!).

Looking forward to meeting all the new people!

I'll post more info later, now I gotta get back to work.

P.S., Bill I'll help you kick Seth's ass!

Okay, here are more details (TucAZNSX will post the meeting info for you Tucson people).

Meeting point for Phoenix area participants:
Saturday 4/17 8:00am, International House of Pancakes
(SW corner of Power Rd and Baseline, south of US60)

Depart: Start off towards Biosphere around 9:30AM. Please be at the meeting point by that time if you're not planning to do breakfast. I will probably be a little late to breakfast myself, as I am coming all the way from the northwest valley. I believe the restaurant may be very busy, so it might be easier to eat in small groups rather than waiting for everyone to show up.

Now, the drive route. This is for the Biosphere leg only, as I am relying on the Tucson natives to guide us for the rest of the journey. We have two options that I've come up with so far. Since I'm not familiar with the east valley, please tell me which one you guys prefer:

Option #1 through US-60
Option #2 through Hunt Hwy

Biosphere tour = $19/person
Desert museum = $12/person (or $9/person if we get the group rate)

Don't forget to check your tires, and bring your camera/FRS radios/Valentines/etc. Please get gas beforehand if you need it.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing some new faces!

K - You are more than welcome to stay at my house if you want. But keep in mind that it is not nearly as clean as your house! :D
Thanks, Heather. As long as I don't have to share the bed with the dog I'll be fine! :)

Alright, I am not as organized as PHOEN$X :D, but here we go.

We can meet for breakfast at 9:30am and then drive to the Biosphere. There are a couple of places I had in mind, so let me know your opinions.

1. Millie's Pancake Haus - 7053 N. Oracle Road

2. Einstein Bros Bagels - 7151 N. Oracle Road

Millie's would be a sit down breakfast where as Einstein's we can just grab a bagel and a coffee from Starbuck's (next door). However, we might need to meet slightly earlier if we want to eat at Millie's. Personally, I don't care either way. They are both located in Casas Adobes Plaza on the southwest corner of Oracle and Ina.

At approximately 10:15am we will depart to the Biosphere (so those of you who are not having breakfast please be at the meeting spot then), arriving at the Biosphere around 10:45am to meet up with the Phoenix crowd.

Please let me know if you will be attending breakfast and which place you would prefer.

Thanks,

Heather

thanks to phoenix for the heads up on this since i can't join my S2000 brothers for their ride of the 24th. It's such a PITA to travel all the way up to phx from tucson just to keep on heading north for the ride.

in any case, i hope i'm not too late to jump on board, and i might actually get the wife to come out with me, which is a rarity. let me know if you can handle one more for the tucson group.

and i won't be able to make breakfast, but i'll be there in time to ride up to biosphere with the crew. i'm looking forward to seeing how my modded S can hold up against the almight NSX's. :)

oh. and for those of you that were parked up in basch's parking lot about a month ago, i appreciate it. it gave me something to look at while mark changed out my gears for me, while i waited. :)

wortham - Of course you are more than welcome to join us. We will keep our eyes out for you around 10:30am at Casas Adobes Plaza.

I'm also looking forward to finally driving in Tucson instead of driving all the way to Phoenix before the drive even starts! :)

See everybody tomorrow!!!

Hey Phoenix crew, I hoping to tail you guys down to Bioshpere tomorrow AM. I recently purchased an S2000 and this will be my first organized drive with a Honda group since I cannot wait until next week and I'm hoping to see Wortham's car for some mod inspiration.

I don't know if I can keep up but I bet I'll have fun trying. I'll pass on breakfast and will try to be at the rendevouz by 9.

I may join everyone on this one also. Is it ok if I bring the P-car?

Thanks for letting us tag along, my S2000 hauls ass, I never lost sight of even the supercharged NSX's LOL. Good times, hope to see you guys again in the future.

The exhaust note from Bill's car was phenomenal!

yep. the wife and i had a great time. i had to virtually pull her by her hair to come, but she wouldn't leave me alone about how much fun she had afterward. sooo ... when are we going to see some shots from the ride? :)
