Aug. 6 Wine Tour: Who's in?

For a monthly meet this seems a little exclusive. Was looking forward to meeting fellow bay area nsx owners. 12 nsx's ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

The wineries that I have confirmed with would like us to limit our numbers to 25 at Rombauer (our first stop) and 17 at Darioush at the end of the day!

I invite everyone to come to Napa for the drive and pinic, but I must limit the tasting numbers to those mentioned above.

It's unfortunate that the tour numbers have to be limited, but the wineries can accomodate you in the primary tasting rooms.

As I said above, everyone is invited.

I love wine but I'm not a serious Wine Person... My wife and I would just be happy with the ride,, and hanging around the primary tasting room. Therefore Please remove my wife and I from the tour and give it to someone on the waiting list... Still looking forward to the ride and seeing everyone...

sounds interesting, can you find out more info for us? thanks bud!!

I spoke with him, and he said the only time he can do it is within the next 2 weeks. It seems that plans for the 8/6 event are already set, so I'm not sure what can be worked out. But, keep it in mind, and if there's interest, let me know.

Since the winery tour appears to be closed out to limited numbers, how about a drive tour for those who might find that either excluded or more appealing? Please post your interest here

Please remove me from the list.

I may just join the drive but not the wine tasting group

No, I'm proposing going N on Knoxville Rd along Lake Berryessa & back S on 29.

My wife and I would like to give up our spot for this event as well as we are not too big on drinking wine... we'll join the other group for the drive instead. Thanks!

I love wine, but prefer not to be dipping in the sauce for a drive. Just the hassle of so many cars looking for a winery, parking & setting up. :frown: Carrying any bought bottles in the hot trunk not my idea of fun, only if were not a monthly meet. I suggest the NAPA TOUR GROUP either meet up with WINERY TOUR CREW on the way to one of the winery's and then split and go for a drive or the NAPA TOUR GROUP meet up with the WINERY TOUR CREW for lunch at a specified time. I really like the last drive we had in Napa, except for those darn Harley's that were hella going slow, and the lunch it was great! Have we come to a decision for meeting points in the bay area yet?

Does that mean you want to be taken off of the list?

we need to have a meeting point and time, and then a spliting point for the wine group and tour group. Ken & Ken? Ideas?

I went to Napa today to check out the between-tasting drive (okay, and to do a little tasting myself). As we are due at Rombauer at 10:00 AM it would be good to meet at the Yountville Post Office (big empty parking lot) for a 9:30 AM departure. I'm usually pretty early to these things, so you can expect to see my car there around 9:00.

I'll put together detailed directions to everyone in a day or so.

BTW, we will have secured parking in the rear of the winery at Rombauer, just like they did for the Ferrari club last month, and I am currently working on the same for Darioush.

me too. so pls remove me from the list and let some wine lovers get in there.
but i'm still down for the meet and drive.

I'm equally sorry your group didn't work out - it really wasn't my intent to create a splinter group to detract from your theme (although I think some of the early adoptees maybe didn't immediately appreciate the focus on winery tours vs wine-country tour?)
Genuinely sincere wishes that you (and all the other who signed up) will still come & participate in the drive I think it will be a fun day & we'll get to see some beautiful country from the best possible vantage-point - the driver's or passenger's seat of an NSX!

I thought this is only a drive to Napa like last time. If this event will emphasize on wine tasting, I probably will not make it because I can't even drive with one glass of wine
Ask Ariel (AMGNSX) or Steve (juejaimon). They knows me. I was drunk after drinking one glass of cocktail that specially made by Ariel in his birthday party.
Coleman

Coleman, Im the same way so you are not alone...Im back so count me in for the drive

As far as I know, the Napa Tour is still on right? Shane (randomharmony) or Carlos, I liked the last tour we did and lunch to end it. Can either of you (or anyone) suggest & reserve a restaurant for the end of the drive? I think someone has also come up with a nice route before as well? Let's get this going!!

 Does this mean the wine tour is off?

The specific winery tours per this initial thread theme appears to be cancelled,

however the the wine country drive is still very much active.

It gets confusing if we try to keep two seperate threads talking about the same subject since the original theme of this one is apparently dead, so please continue all correspondence on the now sole event http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54426HERE
