Acura NSX Sebring 12 hour car corral

Not sure if I can make it over to the hotel Friday night. Any others in Orlando thinking of driving over and meeting up with the group Saturday bright-n-early? Vinny says he might be.

Yup, we'll be taking the 429 down to I-4. Probably a slightly different path than the one you and Vinny will be taking though.

Who's coming from St. Pete/ Clearwater area?

I'm going from Clearwater.

I've got a friend flying in from Boston for this event and will be picking him up at TPA around 11PM. We'll probably be leaving REALLY early on Sat to meet up with the caravan.

Ahh I had problems getting contacting someone to get tickets last week. I talked to Wei-Shen and he wasn't doing the tickets anymore and referred me to a person from Sebring. I could not get in contact with that person at all. Maybe someone will call me back today and I can get the tickets overnighted to me. Anyways, I will be heading down there, with or without the NSX caravan. I'll be leaving early Sat morning/ Friday night.

Motegi.. 3 AM drive to Sebring?

In order to join the parade lap, do you have to buy into the package, or can you drive on w/general admission ticket?

"Drivers and passengers must be credentialed to participate."

What kind of credentials?

What kind of credentials?

You need to call Sena Campell at Sebring and pay for the package as described above. She can be reached at 800-626-RACE Extension 211. She can take your credit card over the phone but you'll have to pay an extra $15.00 so she can FedEx the credentials to you so you get them before Friday.

The credentials include the parking pass and the ID badge so you have access to the VIP area etc.... If you ask nicely she might also throw in a special edition "Sebring" logo'd butt plug.

At this late stage, you will need to order your tickets from Sena Campbell at Sebring Raceway as Hugh described in the above post.

You must have the "special" Acura NSX corral sticker on your ticket to be admitted to the car corral, hospitality tent, and to participate in the parade lap. A general admission ticket won't cut it.

For those interested in a hotel room and caravaning down early Saturday morning, please make your room reservations in our block at the Super 8 by 5pm today. After that any unused rooms will be returned to the hotel.

I've also had to move up the time for the departure to 515am since the escort to the track cannot leave any later than 630pm from the Texaco (now Mobil) station at 3303 Kenilworth Rd. in Sebring. Please be mindful of this ontime departure.

If you have your NSXCA Florida club shirt (blue or beige), please wear it to the event!

See you all Saturday!

Lynn and Wei-Shen

I was thinking something more along the lines of a white t-shirt with a nice photo of the Acura LMP2 car with big bold letters above it reading "German Cars Suck".

Wei-Shen,
That parking lot is small do you think there will be enough room there?

Yes, the lot is small. I plan to use the streets just east of the lot for overflow since they should be unoccupied at that time of day.

Steve, could you check out the area around the station for additional parking space?

Thanks,
WS

Wei-Shen,
Might I offer an alt place;
the parking lot of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Highlands Regional Hospital that sits @ US 27 & Highlands Blvd. It has a traffic light and is 2 miles down the street from the gas station on Highlands & Kenilworth, or the High School across the street from the gas station, but… the gates going into this parking lot may not be open on a Saturday. I will check out the street next to the gas station today and let you know.

Looking forward to returning to Sebring for this great event!

I am expecting no less than several hundred amazing photos from you Bob:cool:

Enjoy the race and bring back an event TShirt for me XL

Wei-Shen,
The gas station that you are thinking about looks OK...the side street is now more open b\c the old building has been knocked down, and a new unfinished metal building is there but set back from the road. So with the parking lot and the street I say there is room for about 15-20 cars I think.

Maybe we can meet up along I-4, let me know.

Todd... I'd like to meet up with you guys in Orlando and head down with you all bright and early!

Lee- nice avatar!

Should take just less than an hour to get to the hotel from Orlando. I'm planning to leave my house in Winter Park at 4am (yawn...) and head down 417 to 528 then I-4 to Hwy27. I haven't talk to Vinny a in a couple days, but we will probably meet up where 417S turns onto 528W around 4:10am. Anyone wanting to meet along this path let me know...and remember we have to stay on time.
My cell number for that morn. is (407) 797-7348
