Caveat Emptor!
So a FIC will work ok with a 91.Do you need anything else besides the harness? Or should an EMS be used with this kit with lets say 8lbs boost?
Angus I just read you took out ur vvis and put in a spacer is this correct? If so was this while you were coming up with ur kit? Is it better to take it out completely with ur kit? Is that the way you designed it? Sorry for asking so many. Trying to find out more about ur kit and the way vvis works with ur kit.
Started my install
First had some help changing the belts- timing water pump etc. I only have 10k on the car but its a 97 so I needed to do it.
Next I installed new injectors (440's) I soldered in new connectors (although i think SOS makes adaptors for the OEM plugs)
Did not need to fool with the resistor pack as in 97 the resistor pack went away.
Re-gapped new plugs and then removed exhaust system and o2 sensors.
I programed the AEM yesterday with a simple base map and re-flashed the box with correct fuel algorithem
Installed (temporary for now) AEM using Boomslang wiring harness- note that the two additional wire loops are not used in this installation.
Wil, just listened to the new exhaust on youtube. Sounds good. Frank
Tony, go under youtube, type in turbo nsx. Header will be burns muffler, you will see Wil's grey nsx from the rear on the dyno run. Hope this helps. Frank
Frank, let me know when you're done and I'll drive up -- lunch on my dime. I want to see what kind of grin that turbo setup will generate.
Bryan, sorry not driven South. Steve is driving to NJ, maybe you guys can come up here together. Frank
