Re: DIY Turbo kit !
Installed wil's air to air intercooler last night and removed rear bumper and valence. RPS clutch went in last week- and I managed to use ALL of the bolts I pulled off the tranny and suspension. It should all be back together tonight. I also upsized my meth pump. Should post...
I am trying to find a "plastic" ie low cost clutch alignment tool for my 97. I can only find a tool for the pre 97.
any help is appreciated.
thanks

I will be installing a new OEM rear valence (2002+) on my 97- but I am not sure what stays black (unpainted??) and what gets paint.
Plus is the black actually unpainted or is there black paint involved. My nsx is red.
I have looked at pictures but can not tell.
thanks
Rich
Re: DIY Turbo kit !
Sorry for the confusion- Wil's kit was spot on- I decided to fool around with stainless steel hoses instead of using the included hoses and fittings (too much time on my hands!!)without talking to Wil first- it was completely user error, he noticed my mistake and told me...
Re: DIY Turbo kit !
Need a 10 plus the fitting to the turbo. I tapped out the one for the hose then stepped it up to an 8-, now I have it right
it was backing up-
Wil noticed this from my pictures and called me to tell me to "Up size" - should have waited but I was in a rush to get on the...

Tuning update
I had the nsx in for tune last week and had to reschedule for this week because I REPLACED AN OIL LINE THAT WIL SUPPLIED WITH A SS LINE TOO SMALL- the end result was a lot of oil in my exhaust and charge pipe- does not seem to have damaged anything- replaced...
Re: DIY Turbo kit !
Tuning set up for next Tuesday. I have decided to keep the boost at around 5.5lbs for now which matches the springs in the waste gate and the BOV.
I will run the Meth. as another layer of protection to avoid detonation etc. rather than pushing the boost higher because of...
Guess I am one of those users having a conversation with myself.
Funny - I thought I was sharing the experience of installing (myself) a reasonably priced turbo set-up (with BOV) in my garage by taking the time to photograph the install.
Considering my web page had over 350 hits in 48hrs I...
Upper Charge pipe installed

I am FINISHED
except I will be adding the gauges to the nav pod next week and installing my suspension pieces, installing the HID lights, adding the stacy skirts and rear valence.....
etc.
Re: DIY Turbo kit !
For those too lazy to look this up
As long as you use the laser platinum ( platinum on both sides) you will be fine , a lot of people like to run the coppers , but they are a bit more trouble to change , so a longer wearing plug is welcomed.
As far as heat range , you can...
Normally I keep three cars in the garage- they live on the black textured mats which are surrounded by the black/white tile- mainly smooth
does not bother me - but i do not use a creeper.
On the other hand my lake house has stained concrete and I really like that finish- but its harder if you...
