    Trasmission Problems...Again

Looks like the guy in Canada screwed you royally. People - UHG! These transmissions are very robust and can handle just about anything you throw at them, not so with the clutches though. Just can't trust anyone these days :frown:.

After 90k service, getting CEL code P0336

Code 42 is bank1 sensor1, O2 heater circuit. Problems 2 weeks later and your blaming the tech. That's a bit of a stretch IMO.

    1991 Rough Idle/Misfire

Bring the bill to the Acura dealer and ask them to pay for the service. They obviously caused the problem (if it fixes it) by not tensioning the belt correctly. Good Luck!

Check out what happend to my nsx at the gym...

Jealousy, or you did something to really piss someone off (ie: ex-girlfriend). Hey, people kill people. Taking your hate out on someones property is better than hurting someone, and if someone did this, how far could they be from hurting someone? No excuse for doing this, but better than hurting...

No insurance. No gas for you!

This won't stop uninsured motorists. It will only increase the supply of gas on the black market. The government can't stop anything people really want or want to do. Prohibition didn't, illegal drugs are plentiful, illegal gun ownership, etc. 1 out of every 100 citizens in this country are in...

Jerking Noise at Cold Start. Anyone face this before?

Sounds like you have fuel delivery problems due to engine temps. The water/engine temp sensor could be bad, could be a weak fuel pump, bad gas, partially clogged fuel filter limiting full fuel pressure, partially clogged injectors until warm-up, etc. I'd clean the throttle body and run some...

    Doomsday Preppers

The best idea in "prepping" is to stay healthy - because that's most likely what's going to "get" you. Yet many smoke cigarettes, are obese, don't excercise, have lousy diets, etc. #1 priority is to stay strong - mentally and physically. Chances of anything catastrophic (except a health issue)...

    215 45 17 and 265 40 18 work with TCS

You need to check your numbers and the anger . To the OP, your TC should be fine since you are increasing the sidewall on both the front and rear equally. The only downside to increased sidewall (as long as you're not lowered and have clearance problems) is sidewall flex when making...

    Doomsday Preppers

That's the real question in the back of every man's mind. "How far would I go". Until you're pushed to that "moment of truth", where depending on what you do, you or someone you love, either lives or dies, none of us will really ever know what we're capable of. Past the humanity, there's an...

It must hurt to sit on such huge balls

To not know fear is a youthful trait. As you get older you learn pain or suffering isn't worth the reward - whatever the reward may be.

Help. Found an oil leak - Where is this?

There are 2 seals for the spool valves (both can usually be found on eBay). The one in the picture and another on the top plate with 3 bolts. Replace both of them while you're at it. Make sure all the surfaces are dry - not oily - during reassembly. It's not hard to do and there are good...

    Idle problem due to cleaning.

Where the throttle cable connects there looks like cruddy buildup all over the springs. Spray that area off (put a rag under it to catch the crud) and make sure it's operating smoothly. Then take some carb cleaner (with the tube on the nozzle) and remove the vaccuum lines one at a time and spray...

    20 years with my GSR

You mean truck? I had the tranny rebuilt at 75K, rust spots (that I keep patching), water pump, master cylinder, fuel pump, all the rest of the mechanicals are original. I've never even touched the AC and it still blows cold. Haven't had to touch the carb either - that's a miracle. I do keep...

    20 years with my GSR

Keep her. You can't buy another car with memories. I have a 1982 Toyota 4X4 truck that has become a true friend. More memories with it than I can remember. After this long it would be weird not to have it .

Comptech High Boost vs. Normal Boost SC

I have been told that the CT unit spools faster and holds more boost at lower rpm's and idle, which means faster accelleration. A dyno sheet should show this. This is second hand info - so it could be worthless, but maybe it will steer you to look at some dyno results.

My Audi ownership has been horrible

A good source for reliabilty records is the Consumer Reports auto issue or their annual paperback. Audi/Volkswagon has never done well. BMW and Mercedes just get average grades. CR results are non-biased and based on testing and consumer complaints. These cars are all fun to drive and that sells...
