Worried!!???

It has been a while since I have actually posted so here it goes. Should we all start worrying about the new crop of ubercars coming out? I mean the 2003 Mustang Cobra does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 12.9!? I have also heard that with just a smaller pulley it can drop down into the 11s!What is the wourld coming to! Not to mention the new Viper and GT40. Looks like we will all need a Basch boost with an intercooler just to keep up with the Jones!

It's not a bug - it's a feature. We're incredibly lucky to be living in the golden age of performance cars - where current production luxury/sport sedans will punish the best of the production sports and muscle cars from the 60s/70s (and outhandle them to boot). Enjoy it and feel free to upgrade if you feel you must keep up with the Jones.

With a bit of boost and some I/H/E you should be able to keep up or beat the Jones. Even if you could not keep up with them, at least you look better.

All cars keep getting better and better. For car guys, this is a good thing.

I just hope Honda intends to leapfrog a moving target with the next-gen NSX, to re-claim the title of "best sports car in the world, any time, any place, any price".

I hope so! A sequential shifting 550hp V10'd NSX would definitely do that. Of course, if it looked good doing it too.
