Who here plays an instrument?

Hmm... If we ever do a massive Prime meet, we all need to bring our instruments. We'll form a band and call it "Bwaaaaaaa" (named after VTEC wail) and we'll write a hit song about MR balance!

Yes, you read that right. That just happened!

Guitar, Bass, and Piano here.

Started with the oboe in elementary school, moved on to clarinet and sax (Alto), then the guitar and bass. Here is a photo of some of my gear in my home studio. Oops sorry the last picture I forgot to rotate this is my latest a new Mike Lull.

Mostly classical piano for me. Still even take lessons after playing for many years. Have played small recitals with some two piano pieces with my Mom.

I knew a guy named Ferdinand, who was a drummer, and he almost played with Ray Charles... once!

Violin for 4 years and drums for 12.
Want to learn piano.

Very cool....and very cool thread...
It's neat to see who plays music.

after seeing / listening to them a number of times in local concerts, we had the wonderful sax orchestra, The Nuclear Whales, play at one of our family concert / events.

(of course, their instruments included the contra bass and itty-bitty sopranino)

they were wonderful musicians and tons of fun to share with our friends!

i like to dabble. i pretty much play any instrument you put in front of me but lately ive been getting into remixing songs and stuff. my old band played a few dates on the warped tour, but thats the most notable thing ive done with music. heres my purevolume for my solo stuff. it ranges from remixes, techno songs, classical songs to metal.

Love the resonator/dobro; make/model?
thx. it's a dean resonator, can't find the model number. i bought i ~8 years ago and for an inexpensive unit, it has a nice sound.

i bet it would sound really good in the hands of a real guitarist

I can play guitar - took classical lessons for a few years. I played trumpet in high school but couldn't remember it now for anything. I've both sung in and directed/managed a choir (in high school, then at church).

I played electric and string bass and recorded and/or played with many artists of renown. From singers famous in the 40's to country and rock stars of later years.
Some were huge stars in their time and though most of their stars have faded their names and places in music history are solid.
I also worked as a backup/background singer, producer and arranger on many record and jingle dates as well.

Now who's gonna be the wise guy and ask "what's a record?"

I no longer play except when I absolutely need to exorcise a melody or song out of my head and do so by playing it.
