Where are all the Production deliveries ??

How many orange cars are they going to produce? A special batch with only a limited no. of cars would make them as attractive as NA1s.

Here are historical sales figures for Gen 1 & 2 Nsx. Except for the first few years, annual sales were not much above what is projected for 2018 in the later years...... And note the steady drop off in sales over time. Regardless of sales, it is still considered an amazing car, right??

The competitive blow by blow for Aug 2018

NSX 15
Audi R8 106
MB AMG GT 100
Nissan GTR 90
Ford GT 14 (I know it's not in the same class but I just like the car)

impressive going from 3 to 15:biggrin:

The car is destined to be very low production. It is a different take on what a supercar can be, and it does not appeal to the mainstream supercar buyer. It's complicated......
Acura is essentially repricing the car with the rebate, but it forces buyers to wait...... and actually hurts sales. So, the 2019 is basically at $137,900 MSRP after the $20k rebate. I'd guess that the reason for the rebate is so that they can list the car as sold for full MSRP in monthly and annual sales reports, and then bury the discount in some other accounting column. Even if they went back to the $30K rebate, there is still always going to be a limited market for such a "different" car. Low production over time is OK with me. I guess I'm an oddball, but I'm sure enjoying my oddball NSX.

The rebate thing is stupid because you end up paying sales tax on the pre-rebate number. They'd be better lowering the MSRP to a realistic number.

The update

The 2019 hardware changes can be added to older cars but there is no expectation that the software stuff will be made available
No factory tune to increase power is expected
The 2019 changes has led to a bolus of orders but not any where near the competitors
The improved performance seen in the 2019 car is mostly from the tire changeNot surprised the orange caliper do not match the orange exterior paint as painting methods are different (powder coat for the calipers) and once you heat the calipers up, the color will change
A cam pain is coming in a couple of weeks so everyone will be paying a visit to their dealer's service center
At least one of the NSX Specialists will be at NSXPO

Thanks for the update. Not sure it’s good news, but news nonetheless.

Whats the campaign for? Anything we need to be concerned about?

Factory supported tune for a power increase is simply a pipe dream of mine but it is something I am actively pushing for.

Sorry, for some intel the Specialist asks that I don't share details until after the cat is out of the bag.

What I will say is the car is complicated (no surprise to anyone) and the issue comes from one of these complicated set ups.
