Vandals? Arizona

Hello all,

New to NSXPrime and in the market for my first NSX ('91-'95). Have recently been reading about all the vandalism to NSX's. My question: I live in Yuma, AZ.......NOT the most upscale city in AZ to say the least, lol. I will have the ONLY NSX in this town and I see several of those tricked out "rice-burners" around. Should this be a serious concern? I'm not foolish and would not park it in questionable area's.....however, I DO plan on using it for my daily driver which means the mall, Circle K, parking lots, work, etc. Can I honestly NOT drive this vehicle daily here without all those worries? For what it's worth, I owned a fairly nice vette a year ago with ground effects, etc. and never had a problem. Your advice please? Thank you. P.S....Try to keep the vette and Yuma jokes to a minimum? lol

Well I can't speak for Yuma, but here in Chandler I'm sure there are 3x as many riced out imports as there are in your town.
In general I think people respect the car for what it is and don't mess with it. My car has never been seriously violated, although there has been a Ham & Cheese sandwich over it when I came out of the mall one time........But thats it.

This is my daily driver also...and I drive it everywhere, all the time.

99% of the time the only thing I worry about from riced imports is the drool that gets on my car. :D They usually love the car, and won't WANT to mess with it. There's always a bad apple, but personally I rather park my car near people like that, because they know the car, and know its worth. They take more care not to hit it.

Now you park beside soccer-moms H2 or Excursion, and lets see if she even cares if her door hits your car. That's if she didn't run over the car in the first place. ;)

I would be more worried about the heat than vandals, in a place with extreme temperatures like Yuma. Unless you have covered parking at home and work, I wouldn't want the sun beating on my NSX. Get a daily beater for a harsh climate like yours, my O.
