Let me give you some advice. Don't pay attention to the people on these boards. I learned one thing they will jump on you if your young and don't seem to fit their picture of a NSX enthusiast. I have stopped posting almost anything on these boards but I still frequent it cause I could care less for a lot of the opinions of people on this board. Trust me I've been attacked before when I posted back in 2003 about my dream NSX. Some people here are really anal and will attack continously. Just don't listen to them and do your own thing. I'm still working hard will eventually get my NSX (Unless I die) and in the end I will be the guy with a big smile on my face.

Sorry if this comment offends any of you guys but that is the truth of how things are around here. Just trying to give advice to someone who is in a similar situation as I was years back.

Thanx i have had atleast 20ppl tell me to just let it go , and im just going to let it go . Now lets close this thread since ive been back for 2days.

You know, it's funny, I don't have an NSX and I've never had any problems here... I think it's strange when people say "I'm not the problem, everyone else is".

I'm glad you weren't attacked thats good for you, but when I was attacked it was for just mentioning what my dream NSX would be and people mis-interpreting it as "Here I am a poser trying to fit in to the NSX community". You obviously have a different opinion as I do but it doesn't mean I'm wrong and and it doesn't mean your wrong either...I think its strange that people completely rule out the option that the problem may be "Everyone else"[Key parts of the phrase "COMPLETELY RULE OUT" and "MAY BE" now we wouldn't want people assuming things again would we :D]

I'm sorry if I sound stupid, but I could have swore RennTECH only mods Mercedes. Having an S600 TTv12 in the household, you could be pretty damn sure I frequent their site every week to see if prices (which they never do) will fall for their stage 3 kits!

And as for the comments, I'm young I think (25) and can deff say Its nice to dream, nicer to own... and easy to get carried away. Trust me I'm done with alot of the BS. Its a stage you have to go through in order to become wise. I dealt with it on the bimmer sites... Now I just need to stop sinking money into it and start on the NSX ;)

Ive been waiting for the perfect chance to use this lol

Just for the record buddy - GPA doesn't mean a whole lot.

One of my valedictorians never went to college, and our salutatorian turned from chior-boy to drug-addict his freshman year and dropped out of college. It doesn't guarantee success. Hell - In my major, GPA means absolutely nothing... noone asks for it when we get jobs.

Grammar, and how you present yourself will get you more jobs than a 3.8GPA ever will. Just keep that in mind from one young guy to another. I also don't have an NSX... but never got banned. It's your attitude, just change it is all.

Welcome back I suppose :)

Hey Midnight - your sig says your occupation is high school. It also says you are 20 years old. Are you really 20 and still in high school?

No, I'm in WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) one of the top engineering Universtities of the NE area<--(Added this just to make sure you guys understand I'm a serious student). I made that sig back in 2002 when I was a sophmore in high school. I never changed it since I don't really post I never noticed hehe. Thanks for pointing it out though. Yes I'm working hard and doing my best I would be ashamed if I was 20 and still in high school. I doubt I would be talking if I was a 20yr old in high school.

I completely agree with rickysals. I'm frankly scared that an individual with a 3.8 GPA communicates the way you do. This means that there is major grade inflation going on at your school or you are lying.

I have to say I agree with rickysals as well. I graduated Valedictorian with my undergraduate and have a 3.9 GPA finishing up my MBA. Never once has an employer ask about my grades. All they are concerned about is my professionalism and if I am capable of doing the job correctly.

Well said! As a former Vice President I have seen thousands of resumes, interviewed hundreds and hired many. When looking at a resume, it is not often that the GPA is given except for a recent grad. However, regardless of the education and experience, if you cannot communicate well, your resume would go in the circular file. And don't use the excuse that this is just a forum for fun and it doesn't matter. You are developing life long habits and if you practice sloppy, you will perform sloppy.

It amazes me to this day the level of poor spelling and grammar used by many, even those in high level professional positions.

You're almost out of high school and that's the kind of spelling and grammar you have? I'm scared. The future of the world is definitely the movie Idiocracy.

TJ moved to the US just 7 years ago, knowing no english at all from Lebanon.

Hes a great kid, and he's here, and in love with the Nsx mainly because of me he was my next door neighbor at one point and I took him for spins in my Nsx. I did not encourage him to join this site, but showed him photos of my car posted on here, etc.

I dont approve of him coming onto this site creating problems (even though I know he doesnt create problems intentionally!), or making new screen names either, for the record.

Amen! Working in the news industry means I see a ridiculous amount of cover letters, resumes, and demo reels, and it really does get painful seeing the current lack of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation...

That's very nice of you to stick up for him. I understand that it's difficult to learn the English language and all of its little nuances as an immigrant (my parents are both immigrants), but even through all of the spelling and grammatical errors I could tell that he lacks maturity. His lack of maturity, and his tendency to create problems, really irks me because he reminds me of someone I know (a 42 year-old with horrible communication skills, embarrassing spelling and grammar, and a tendency to cause problems).

Lack maturity , i don't have to prove anything but if I'm "immature" i wouldn't have friends that are about 21 to 30, also if i am "immature" then they are dumb to hand out with me when supposable i act like I'm 9 , But if you actually meet me in person you would now that I'm 17 but act allot older then 17 , you now why? because i was raised right , maybe i make a few mistakes here and there but i don't think thats a big deal for a 17 year old , when you were 17 you probably did worse things then a few spelling errors on the web.

Funny how this thread has 1200+ views and so many posts when its been a week since I'm back. Sooo lets close it.

You have alot to learn young grasshopper.

Maturity is a "show me" thing. I know plenty of 29 yr olds who hang out with us college kids, and it isn't because college kids get together, play chess, and talk about financing. It's just because the 29 yr olds are even more immature than the 21 yr old.

I am on one hand - a huge endorser of the theory that grammar is 99% bullcrap and only there to please people who for some reason it matters to - on the other hand though, other people do care and judge you based on it, so I only use my crappy grammar for maybe an AIM profile... not a public forum such as this. (Supraforums probably would be more skilled at reading it). The reason is a vast majority of the people here weren't raised on the internet, and havent been on AIM/ICQ since they were 12 like you and me, and aren't used to reading the B.S. They're (majority) 28+ and are just guys who love a classy exotic and come here for the common ground that they won't find regionally (rare car). These are the 30 year olds. They don't act like you at all.

SO - like my baseball coach from when i was 11 used to tell us to get a hit...

"I'm from Missouri, Show Me baby"

he wasn't from Missouri

I like the updated signature and the proper grammer is a step in the right direction. You can stay for now but you're on DOUBLE SECRET PROBATION:biggrin:

<sigh> How is being lazy better than just having bad grammar?

It's not that most of us old farts (I'm 39 btw) can't understand what you type, it's that our brain has difficulty trying to translate the hieroglyphics. Therefore, by trying to fit in with our style of grammar you find that we can be just as friendly as your buddies on AIM. That is, unless you start to behave like a tool.
