Just read that the quake on dec., 26th caused the ground-water level in Florida to rise about 4 inches for some minutes - an amount that has never been recorded there before.
A little older info: Europe (or better the european continental plate) was raised about 0.4 inches for some minutes (couldn't be felt because of the slow speed) and has permanently been shifted about 1.6 inches to the north of the planet.
